Crysis Demo

Aye if you've played GRAW or STALKER you'll recognise it, I first saw it in Area-51 (crap port.)

It's a sort of fake AA that doesn't anti-alias the full scene (not FSAA) and doesn't use multisampling, it just sort of blurs certain edges instead to give the impression that they're smoother.

Personally it makes me mad as hell developers are getting so lazy and using this crap deferred rendering technique, but I can't imagine the performance hit Crysis would take with real MS FSAA with all the foliage.

How do you know for a fact that they use Deferred Anti Alias?. This screenshot suggests otherwise.

From all the screenshots I've seen with AA enabled and my own testing with the AA modes I am pretty positive it's deferred antialiasing, that screenshot would definitely suggest otherwise but compare 8xCSAA in any Crysis screenshot to 8xCSAA in games like Oblivion or whatever and you'll see a huge difference. :(

It's more a case of the resolve not configured properly IMO. It looks like only some parts of textures get the resolve. Hard to explain I have a feeling this is why Cry Alex said it was not supported properly as of yet.

Expect run it at least 40fps with ultra settings dx10... 2 more GB of ram comming this way.. with brand new copy of vista 64bits also the 25th :P

Didn't the 320MB GTS suffer in Bioshock DX10 due to memory maxing out?

No I was running DX10 in 1900 x 1200 on a 320MB! No AA obviously. I find if you leave AA off the memory isn't usually an issue.

But Crysis in native res is going to be a killer. I'm still with AMD too which doesn't help. :p

Picking up a quad at the weekend so I hope that helps.

LMAO - Tell you what?. I'll buy you a 2900Pro and then we can forget this ever happened :D. A cheap price to pay for a clear conscience!.

I may just be able to accept your gift.

The demo date is a fact It was confirmed by EA/Crytek themselves. I think you need to go back to the drawing board dave.

You mean to say that its impossible for it to be changed? Just like its imposible for 2 + 2 to equal anything but 4. Instine did try prove it equalled 5 but his logic is flawed because to do so you must have to divide by 0, which is not possible.

And what about if you live in differnt countries it would come out on differnt days due to time zones :P

A fact must be proverble and definite with no exception. An estimation is not a fact and neither is a due date for a demo when its in the computer world :P :EDIT: :p aww yes, not to self must use lower case for smileys :P... i mean :p

How do you get into these beta tests?

The same as anyone, pay for membership at rip off 3DGamers and FilePlanet.
