Crysis Demo

REQUIRED SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS:

· OS: Windows XP. This Betatest can be played on Vista but Vista is not officially supported. DX10 libraries are not available in the MP Betatest

· CPU (Single Core): Intel P4 3.2 GHz/AMD Athlon 3200+ or higher

· RAM: 1.5 GB

· Disk Drive*: 8X or faster DVD-ROM drive

· Hard Drive: 4 GB or more of free space

· Video: DirectX 9.0c, NVIDIA 7... series/ATI X... series or higher

· Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

· Multiplayer: 2 to 32 players, network or Internet connection required (Cable, DSL, or faster
connection)
 
So will I be screwed with my 1gb of DDR?. I have another set of Corsair sitting about and it's 1gb also (2x512mb).

Thats the requirements for the beta client which is as yet un-optimised and very buggy, requiring higher end hardware to run, the finaly game will require a minimum of GF6 series or the ATi 9800 range or higher.
 
on the Crysis demo website it lists the minimum spec as:

Crysis System Requirements
MINIMUM
Intel Pentium 4 @ 2.8 GHz or AMD equivalent
1GB RAM
nVidia GeForce 6800GT/256 or ATI Radeon 9800 Pro/256
Microsoft Windows DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
HD free space 16GB

My wallet thanks you both for the replies as I didn't want to upgrade (whole system) till later on in the year :).
 
I think you will need mpore then 1gb of DDR. 2GB DDR2 id say to run it with a decent speed and not lagging to load the map. Considering vista will tend to use up to 800MB of ram for that alone (if you have 4gb it uses 750/800, 2gb it uses 650/700 i beleive), it would be unplayerble on 1gb of ram. ill have 4gb though so dont bother me :P

When does the game come out agian? I expect to be building mid november :)
 
Even if it needs 2gb minimum then I have another 2x512mb sticks so I should be ok (I hope :().
