didnt work for me or atleast i couldnt get them to work with warhead, ended up plaing it vanilla and enjoyed it

I ran the reallifesis installler after the install mcafee deleted three exe files as trojans, do I need those three exe's for it to work or is it fine without them.

Have you tried playing the game, has the mod installed properly? The reallifesis installer is old, and people just use the standalone tod file now anyway

Extreme Graphics Config is the killer, i had to drop shadows to high and AA to 8x

You had to *drop* AA to 8x? Isnt that a little overkill?

Wait a minute: you're running Crysis at near max settings, and 8xAA on a single 460? That doesn't sound very playable.

Im running crysis at Extreme Quality Settings, i tried running the game 16xQQ but the game just stutted then CTD, i turn it down to 8xQQ but every 5 -10 secs in busy areas the game struggled, so i had to to turn it down to 4x. now it runs an average of 30-40fps.

I can't seem to get a decent framerate on this. I'm running a gtx570 & q6600 (3Ghz) at just over 1080p and my frames are constantly dropping to 20, usually sitting around 25-30 and this is with AA off.

How are people with worse GPUs than mine getting better performance?

a lot of tweaking, i could originally run my rig on Very High Settings 1080p and 16QQ, but the detail didn't stand out, so i downloaded the Extreme Quality Mod, with Hi Res Foilage, Grass Palm trees mod. everything is at custom "ultra settings" except for the AA. one thing i would suggest is turning the shadows to high/medium, post processing also changes the FPS.

Just tweak the Advanced settings to get the best FPS.

also motion blur is set to off

Yeah I'm not using any mods or anything, just feels like after so many years and expensive hardware I should finally be able to run this thing, as many others seem to be able to. I've come to the conclusion that the game's just poorly made... I understand it was ahead of its time but come on, it's been 4 years now!

I have just reinstalled this on my newly formatted and built system so will be interested to see what the mods look like first hand.

Excellent write-up btw Centurion, was very useful in knowing which mods to go for.

Thanks buddy. Problem is that crymod's modding database is down at the moment. If there's any mods you want, I can upload them if I have them
