Crysis Mods

found some .cry files for the amazonia river map, along with a couple of the others. If you drop these folders into your 'levels' folder, you'll be able to open the .cry files with sandbox editor. Youll be able to do anything you want with the map then - including installing EQM or part of EQM onto it if you choose.

Definitely. Three years later I still have yet to see anything that looks better. Plus, Crysis is a great game to play in its own right, as well as look at.

I'm sure the in game experience is better, but not impressed by the screenshots, just looks like AA isn't turned on.

The comment about blurring amuses me really, because it's us who chose where to focus, and not the PC. If I want to focus on the mountains I can focus on them, they shouldn't always be out of focus!

For the record, I like to play Crysis.. not mind blowing but graphically enjoyable and tbh, I play it because it looks nice, and I enjoy the experience.

The AA is off(at least on my rig for maximum fps)! As for the blur effect in the distance, I understand what you are saying, but the game is being rendered on a flat 2d surface, unlike in real life so I think the purpose of the blur is to simulate what you would normally choose to focus on in a real life 3d environment as opposed to a 2d flat screen. Until we get the holodeck I think its the best 2d technology can come up with so far to simulate the way the human eye works and focuses. If you don't like the effect as others have said you can always turn it off.

The Centurion - your screenshots look noticeably smoother than mine. The AA sure seems to help. Looks good friend!

Thanks :D trying out other usermade SP/story maps now. Thing I love about crysis is just how large the modding community is and how essentially you're getting far more out of the game through modded content, maps, story and campaign modes than pretty much any other fps game from the last 5 years at least. HL2 is possibly on par.
