Crysis Multiplayer Beta now on Fileplanet

Glad it is only beta cos performance on my 2900xt is rottle. 30-40 fps at 1440x900 no AA, no AF and all options on low is a joke.

If i try 16xAF and all on High i strugle to get double figures. Either the game is horrible optimised for ATi cards or my poor opteron [email protected] is really starting to show its age.

We need some optimized drivers for crysis from ATI, NVIDIA have them so we'll just have to hold out for some. I'm sure well get them around the release of the demo.

Ive just recently installed that free farcry and I'd play it all the way through if it didnt keep crashing on me
 
Personally i think the multi is crap, even with a decent frame rate id be hard pressed to play this for any amount of time. I'll be buying the game for the sp, but the multi is just annoying.

THAT WAS MEEEE! I thought i recognised the name.. i also launched a nuke in my own face.. didnt realise it was a grenade launcher.. thought it was a rocket..

You can describe the gameplay surely. Theres allready been tons of videos and pictures released months before so Im just wondering if anything about the game is unique or is it a fancy looking hl deathmatch.

Do the graphics actually matter, does the viewdistance help sniper shots, is there a sway under zoom or are all the guns generally without recoil. That kind of thing :)

Right, without infringing the NDA AFAIK.

Overall something feels right about the multiplayer. Hitboxes work.. where you shoot works and the pings feel good. I now this may sound silly but so often games just have some weird negative vibe, which this does not.

As for unique, no, i dont think many FPS games will ever be unique any more, but it does combine a wonderful set of factors. Theres real depth in the options you can kit your soldier out with and the game type really drives you towards your objective.

As for recoil and gun mechanics there are some great touches, especially sniping while cloaked. Recoil.. if i remember back i would say its quite nicely done, it would actually be on the weaker side than stronger.. theres no Thompson kick here, but it feels alright.. you wont be holding down the trigger and destroying people a long way off.. because yes the draw distance is amazing and you can shoot over that, but your likely to be quite close up moving between buildings/trees and keeping in cover if you have any sense.
