yeh replacing the FP one and they were testing release candidates of the build last week so it should be out today as in monday as the last 2 builds were released on a monday.

it was sometime last week i read it, will try and find the post again.
think it was the thread to do with the warrior server.
 
Whats the performance like for people at 1680x1050 with a 2900xt in Vista? for me it was very choppy, not very playable, had to turn down to 1440x900, thats not using any AA, all high settings.
 
No problems for me in crysis, high settings but no AA i stay above 30fps all the time, very smooth infact, i got my sysem configured like a maclaren F1 car, designed to be the best it possibly can, ;) its not great performance but in gereral the crysis beta 2 performs like crap on all systems, beta 3 should be better.
 
There an update due tomorrow or is that just a rumour doing the rounds?


Gets pretty sad when we're waiting on slightly better running betas dontchathink? :confused::(
 
ARGH, I want this so badly, but my PC would get slaughtered. :(

3800X2, 1GB DDR topped with a 7600GT. :o

How do you think it would bare up if I got a Core2Duo and 2GB in there? Still with the 7600GT.

I want to play this SO badly, but with this computer.. It would hurt.
 
Well with my rig, at 1680x1050 2xAA everything else max, it is no way near smooth, infact quite bad in places

So depends on the settings you want to play I think mate
 
I'd be quite happy to play at low-medium at 1024x768. If that helps. :p

It's quite sickening to see a rig like yours be put through it's paces though. :(

Tell me about it, only just upgraded to it like 3 weeks ago and already its struggling :p

I just hope its because its an unoptimised beta

It's because it's unoptimised and is running a debugger behind it.
Also, because you're on Vista. (An assumption based on general bad performance in Vista)


E6850 @ 3.8Ghz, 8800GTX (630/2000) and 2GB PC6400 on XP and it's perfectly smooth (40fps outside) for me at max settings and 1680x1050. I have AA set to 8x but it does nothing in the beta.
 
Next beta patch will be out within the next few days, according to Cry-Alex. Hopefully we'll get some flying vehicles, a new map + improved performance.
