Crysis Multiplayer Beta now on Fileplanet

Sounds like pretty much every online game I've played in recent years.

battlefield 2 is a hell of a lot more tactical than crysis AT THE MOMENT

Then play on the North Korean team? Games with attacker/defender type maps that favour the defender are nothing new whatsoever.

i dont know what you mean by this

Aye, let's not bother using our brains and thinking tactically, let's just cry for stuff to be nerfed. Right now I can think of at least three ways to disable someone's cloak, all of which also leave them with 50% less HP than someone with armour activated (i.e. twice as easy to kill!) I will let you figure them out for yourself. :)

thinking tactically? this game in its multiplayer form is by no means 'tactical' in the slightest. by throwing in invisibility it still is not tactical either. this could be just down to this map at the moment, maybe it will change in that new map refinery.

edit: sorry for double post

Everyone in Battlefield 2 public servers runs around like headless chickens just as much as people do in the Crysis beta. If you're talking about clan servers then that's different as Crysis has none yet.

To cite examples: Jalalabad, Sharqi and Karkand. Defending teams in those maps get an advantage in the early game, just like the Koreans do on 'Shore' because the US team must make use of boats (or swimming) to make their initial captures. Shore is simply a different form of push map.

Like I said, I can think of three ways to disable invisibility from the top of my head and two of them work on multiple invisible people at once. One of them disables all suit modes.

If you can't think tactically and use the many countermeasures to all suit modes given to you by the devs then really you should just go back to Battlefield 2, which isn't tactical at all either BTW (on pub servers.)

still have no idea as to why you're saying the defending team has the advantage, its hardly an advantage on that map is it, considering the us team can swim to the island in around 45 seconds.

and how many times do you encounter more than one invisible person in one area on that map? thinking tactically has nothing to do with it, maybe its all down to this particular map, but the players are far too dispersed for their to be any kind of main goal or reasoning to your actions.

in each 30+ player game ive joined, there seem to be about 2 players on each team that actually complete the 'objectives' and pretty much every other player is running around, bunny hopping, driving around in the vehicles aimlessly or just tk'ing for other peoples weapons.

and fyi, i dont play battlefield 2 often, so don't start with the 'go back to your game' fanboy talk please

and even on public servers, players still head to roughly to the correct flag section in battlefield, im not sure if about the servers youve been playing on, but the ones im on people do what they are supposed to, even if they do it slowly.

The Korean team can get to the prototype facility in less than that time via vehicle.

I see quite a few people on Shore using invisibility in groups, particularly when taking bunkers. What they don't realise though is that invisibility is the easiest suit mode to turn against them.

Yeah, because that doesn't sound like BF2 at all!

I think you should go back to the drawing board mate because you mentioned Battlefield 2 first, which is why I started using it as my examples.

Like I said, Crysis online is just like pretty much every online shooter I've played in recent years with nice little additions such as nanosuit tactics thrown in.

and even on public servers, players still head to roughly to the correct flag section in battlefield, im not sure if about the servers youve been playing on, but the ones im on people do what they are supposed to, even if they do it slowly.
Yup, I don't know what servers you've been playing in Crysis beta but people also work on capturing structures.

So because I use a game you brought up to use as my examples, making it possibly easier to relate to, I'm telling you to "go back to BF2 fanboy"?

Get a grip of yourself mate, seriously. None of your whinging makes any sense whatsoever.

Any chance of a spare/unwanted key suddenly appearing in my inbox?
You'd get it back in a couple of days ;)
Just want a quick gander so I can join in with all the fuss

im loving this game atm.. the customisable weapons are awesome - had an assault rifle but could only afford an assault weapon scope.. went up on a hillside and strategically (:D) camped for a bit - got a load of kills and went to the nearest base then bought a sniper scope for it and a laser sight - thus ownage ensued.

I really like this game at the moment, I will be honest and say now I'm actually playing the game, the visuals arent all that stunning, having AA really doesnt make any difference and the jaggies really let it down

But as a game, its great, and I really enjoy multiplayer

Anybody else feeling generous and wanted to be e-worshipped? Mail me a key please, email in trust.

Woo, this is the fastest torrent I've ever got, peaked at 1100Kb/s
