CS:GO Discussion

I know what im supposed to do etc, so like you said, it can be random, so it would be best to play as 5? I wouldn't want to feel like i've been carried though.
Don't need a full 5 (but the more the better) but if you can get even 2 other people you can depend on to call out when they see people it makes a massive difference.
As for feeling like your being carried you will learn a lot more from playing higher ranks (I know I do when I play with MG2+). Feel free to add me Hazy87 Im often on for a good few games per week.

I hate it when 2 people on the team buy at silly times and screw up the economy of the team after 3 rounds of the game, it can take ages to get it back.

Yeah good point, i'll give you an add :)

I made a serious mistake when starting out this games, i instantly played competitive, and screwed myself over big time, got placed in silver 4.

I'm really enjoying this game and would definetly like to improve my rank and become better, been watching a lot of pro games and a guy called adren on youtube, also practicing aim in DM is very nice.

How hard would it be for me to rank up to gold from silver 4? (going to improve before i try this)

Any tips would be welcomed.

I was Silver 4. I am now MGE. I didn't play much as a 5 until late Gold Nova/Early MG. My secret is simple, practice.

a guy called adren on youtube

This guy was commentating with tips his own playing and he is a pro player. http://www.twitch.tv/n0thingtv/profile So a lot of the game is bluffing or predicting where people will be, or even muted you can watch where grenades are thrown or bounced and that helps a lot

rank up to gold from silver 4?
It could be easy. It might take 2 games only. Or if not perfect it might take a long time, I went from 140mm wins upto 180 wins before it let me gain 1 rank.
I got 4 consecutive wins, not enough, lost a couple, got 5 wins in a row and eventually Im grudgingly allowed up.
Thing is if a player goes the entire game without any mvp it might not really count the game as a win more of a carry. I got 29 kills in 17 rounds but we lost every round but 1 so my efforts are wasted. Conversely we win the game but I get 1 mvp, doesnt really count either is my guess.

MM roughly speaking I think send you an easy game then a hard game alternatively
At silver 4 if you beat novas all the time, it'll rank you up. If you beat all silver 3/2 it would be just filler not a gain

My last game, its a win but 10 kills in 22 rounds is not active participation enough to count rank wise is my guess how it works

I've not played this in a while. Had a quick DM to see how i'm doing and my aim has gone to ****!

Does anyone here have tips on improving aim?

Just keep playing DM or offline against bots. Make sure you're not spraying (easy to end up spraying too much on DM), take your time aiming for headshots and don't worry about dying or your score at all

2nd ever mission drop, got an AWP Dragon Lore Field tested but pretty much in minimal wear condition. Straight on the Market that goes for £135 bahahhaha

:( screenshot required tbh

VP won 13 rounds in a row, probably some tips in there. I need to go back and watch the last faceit inferno round as they showed how to get smoke to show T feet only on banana

Is master guardian elite a decent rank ? Unsure what's good as I don't play it that often to be honest, seems to be a decent standard though , probably should be higher if I played on it more !

I have avoided CS for so long as I thought that because it has been out so long and people have played CS since time began that I would be tripe at it. It turns out I am.

However I am loving the game, I always finish near the bottom but I am still learning. I feel out of my comfort zone outside dust and nuke. Any tips would be appreciated. I know that M4 and AK are the guns to use, I am having trouble with my aim. I was always a fast high twitch kinda player. But after watching a few pro players mouse guide I have dropped my sens down to 0.52. I can aim better but I have trouble tracking targets. My ranks so far is silver elite or elite master. 13 wins to my name but I think my gold nova master friend carries me a fair bit.

Should I stay still while engaging or move left and right?

Higher than average. Quite good imo. Average is around Gold Nova. Imo, when you are MGE, approaching DMG, you know you have good aim and you know more than just basic things (rotation, recoil, how to use nades etc.) Obv you have a lot to do to get to Global Elite, but generally you are getting better.
Operation Breakout thing for getting 16 SMG kills in casual :D
Lucky...

Shoot in bursts. Moving left/right when shooting will bust your aim bad. You ideally want to shoot 3 bullets, strafe, then shoot again. If you feel like you need to spray (very close range) then pull your aim down. learn the recoil patterns. Generally, you always have to pull down. The AK has a huge recoil, the M4A4 a bit less, and the M4A1-S has even less (although it is still more than say, CoD). Try to learn the economy. Learn when to buy (if you lose pistol round, spend 2 rounds not buying, but if you plant, buy on the 3rd round). You learn more in a group then alone.

The__Malteser is correct, burst and strafe is best way forward. You also need to control how quickly you burst, as if the gun has settled after the first burst the next shots won't be accurate (and more or less continues the spray pattern as if you had held down the mouse button). Also correct about the money side of things, don't buy if all you can afford is a m4/ak and no armour/nades, or if your team mates can't buy that round. As next round they will have cash and you will be broke

Not sure how to embed and on mobile but this YouTube video should really help you learn about recoil. There is an incredible amount after 3-4 bullets. Well worth getting acquainted with on an empty server when you have some spare time.

Also, even though the pros use low sens doesn't mean you have to, use what is comfortable for yourself and only really make small adjustments once you have settled.

There is also this guide here that might also help set that up.

Biggest failing I see on servers is people running around aiming at the floor. You ALWAYS want the cross hair to be at head height. Say you run round a corner, aiming at the head and the other is looking down towards the floor and you both get a shot off you are vastly more likely to be the one walking away from it!

It was Field Tested but in good field tested condition. Sold it for £135 xD

Plan is wait until the steam sale and buy a few copies to give out to friends to carry me :D

Aww noes! Shouldn't have sold it, it's being discontinued next month so im guessing in time it would have gone up in cost?

Not a problem Tom, I got £135 worth of steam cash to play around for free. So I am happy with it.

Used it in casual and comp a bit yesterday. Everyone was asking to use it even the enemy team LOL

I suppose you can't argue with £135 for a mission, i always get garbage from it :P

People always ask about my M4A4 Bullet Rain, its only £25 ish but people seem to love it.
