Well many people bought the game early, myself included, because they said we could play the beta on the 14th. Then there's no beta to be got, so of course people will get mad. It's not about the game, but about being told we can play early, that's why people rage. Also it's the internet so everyone exaggerates everything.

It was offered as an enticement to get people to pay money early. In true Valve style, they never bothered to come good on it. After all, who cares? It's just a bunch of internet whingers, it makes no odds, they've got the money now anyway...

1. It's BETA!
2. Going on about being promised the game on the 14th is completely retarded as well, because Valve are in Seattle if I'm not mistaken. So they are 8 hours behind, making it 2pm there.

Grow up.

Not really relevent - it was advertised in the UK and charged for in UK currency. If they meant after midnight UK time then it should have said so.

People are entitled to feel aggreived and/or dissapointed that something they feel they paid for hasn't arrived when it was advertised. Perhap you should grow up?

In the grand scheme of things its no big deal, but that doesn't mean people are not entitled to be a bit frustrated. After all, they proudly advertised that if we gave them some money, we could play on the 14th.
 
Must say this has really got to me. When it says play on the 14th you would expect the product to be available that day. 10 pm and were still sat here twiddling our thumbs what an absolute joke. ( Its not even like its a new beta its been out for ages minus the few updates !! )

FlapR its more like a demo then a beta tbh that will be the games released form come next week and I for one who was not lucky enough to get a beta inv months ago am looking forward to it. Your sir are a troll !

This is unfair.

I bought the game only because it said on the product store page that I'd be able to play the beta on the 14th. No mention of timezones, and no disclaimers whatsoever... In fact the promise is still there!

It's been 14th for 22 hours 14 minutes, so where the **** is my beta?

Except of course, you know, it was labelled as being available on the 14th from a UK IP. If I was in the states, and it said the 14th, they'd have plenty of time yet to come good.

It's looking highly unlikely they will fulfill their end of the bargain.

Everyone knew exactly what they were letting themselves in for when they bought it. It was obvious it would be based on when the switch was flipped in America just like other things have over the years. It could still be the 14th here in the UK when it comes out, but they are obviously working on some technical stuff to make sure it works. There's no point in everyone piling into the beta and nothing working.

People would have bought the game regardless of the whole beta access on 14th factor. If it were like the whole Diablo 3 situation I would completely understand where people are coming from, paying for a full priced game and everything going to rats - fair enough.

Because the game hasn't been in closed BETA for long enough? What is it now, 7 months+?

It's no big deal, as it's still at a pre order stage i'll just request a refund. The purchase was more of an impulse buy than anything so they've likely done me a favour and saved me a few quid.
