CS:GO Discussion

Casual is usually a train wreck, too many players for the maps, bit communication and too many snipers. I only want to play competitive these days, much more balanced.

Oh right, I thought competitive would be a much harder version of casual. Thats kind of why I avoided it this weekend.

In my opinion casual mode is a waste of time, it is that much of a mess that you can't really establish any sort of "strategy" you are much better off practicing in deathmatch or an aim server.

a lot of the time an AWPer will sit in a position were he knows someone is going to come through.

Nah you don't win keys, a word of advice, don't buy them, if you are wanting a particular skin, you are better off just buying them outright, you can waste so much money on crates hoping for a good drop.

Not sure I really like any of the skins to be honest. I don't really see the point in spending money on gaudy weapon paint jobs if the weapon still does the same job. Plus I imagine some colour schemes make you easier to spot.

Those AWP players are annoying as the maps appear to be designed in such a way that you will be sniper bait whichever route you take.

DM? No way! Might just jump straight into comp mode.

I opened a Phoenix case and won a Mag 7 with a different skin. Booooo.

Also what is the deal with stickers? Where I come from stickers are mean to represent something. Like if you have been to a place. Or you have attended an event etc. Is that how they are used in CSGO?

Casual is pretty stupid, but I do enjoy it sometimes. Most people don't let go of 'W' until the round is over or they're dead. The concept of defending a bombsite is alien to 75% of CTs. They love to push out and don't seem to learn when they die almost every round doing so.

In my opinion they could make Casual better by:
- Having 10 rounds each way, swapping Ts/CTs at halftime.
- Capping number of players to 7 or 8 instead of the 10(?) it is currently.
- Disable map voting.
- Reduce the round time slightly.

It's harder in some ways but easier in others. Because there are fewer players in competitive it's easier to find weaknesses in defence and keep track of players around the map.
