CS:GO Discussion

Yup. As it stands that means that neither Titan or Epsilon can attend DHW.

Titan and Epsi got DQed :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Apparently, ESEA are behind the VAC bans. Their anti-cheat is better than VAC and it seems like they are relaying information to Valve. How long until a really big player gets banned (JW, Shox, GeT_Right etc.)

EDIT: Read a post that JW, KennyS, Shox, Apex, Ex6tenz, SF etc. have gome on the CS:GO SDK for 0.3-0.5 hours between Nov. 7-14. SF has been banned. KWLY has a private profile.

Kioshima cleaned out his inventory: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198000782895/inventory/
He traded them to his gf: http://gyazo.com/1aac55546110135e92da2481f7792a4c

kennyS has a private inventory, but people said he cleared it out too: http://steamcommunity.com/id/kennyS-/inventory/

Angel (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198019196091/inventory/) and Kucher (http://steamcommunity.com/id/HRkucher/inventory) has quite relatively clean inventories (http://steamcommunity.com/id/HRkucher/inventory)

EDIT2: Kioshima is already creating an alibi.

I spoke to one of the top players in a 'pro' team in Tribes Ascend a good while ago. He has played at high level on several games in the past.

He was quite sure that a lot of pro players are closet hackers and indeed the entire pro scene is predicated on getting that extra edge by exploiting/cheating and there are ever increasing 'smart' ways of doing it. He came across as a little jaded and a bit fed up too. Given the money and sponsorship involved, and that this is their living in many cases - it is not such a huge leap of the imagination to see that some players may cross the line.

Given the huge boom in hacking websites I tend to feel that hacking is actually more widespread than we think. For example, CoD:AW is a total hack fest and has been since day 1. Some are totally obvious ragers, but some you only notice because they slip up and make a mistake, usually when multiple targets are involved or when they are locked onto a target that changes direction at speed. But I suspect that pro hackers are using custom designed cheats though, and have probably paid a pretty penny for them.

It is a misconception that all hackers are pro level head shot masters though. There are plenty of closet hacks that use them to gain a less obvious edge, but will always win and 'pull it out of the bag' when it matters.

It is a shame people feel the need to hack but I can see why so many players would feel that the only way to level the playing field is to join the other hackers.

Over the years I have seen several players who I suspected were cheating get banned. The trouble is with modern hacks and a smart player it is very difficult to prove. But the one thing that seems to be consistent is they will get caught out eventually. It might take years, but usually the truth comes out. :)

I just dont understand how people can get away with hacking at a LAN? I havent read up too much on it but apparently they used the steamworkshop to load hacks or something?

There is no doubt that these people were talented players, just a shame they wanted to go that bit further and hack. Tainting a whole scene now.

They do, but rumors are that the hax are workshop files so as soon as you log into steam they are downloaded to your machine.

That shouldn't matter, it would be quite easy to detect if the organisers provide the machines. For the prize money people are talking about I am amazed they don't monitor the machines and network traffic.

I suggest you dont look into it much further. It taints your whole outlook on online shooters when you know what the coders are putting into hacks!! lol :p

Its not stuff like ESP/ full on aimbot that they are using. Most hacks these days are far more subtle. One of the most common in CS at the moment is an 'aim assist' type, increases your aiming by 10-15%... Incredibly hard to notice and wouldnt look unnatural at all, but it sufficient to give you an edge over your opponents.

Naturalised aim assist has been in use for a decade. It was the answer the hack coders came up with to the obvious bot lock on 'snapping' to targets.

Basically it is just a case of manipulating the mouse movement via speeding it up or slowing it down and introducing irregularity algorithms to make the movement seem natural. Decent coders used a GUI so the player could set various paramaters, and they were nearly always used with a crosshair based aimbot. Depending on the game, the GUI can set overall bot accuracy (yes part of the naturalised code is to program in a bot that misses believe it or not) along with preferred hit locations on the character model/hitbox to avoid headshots making it look too obvious.

Far harder to tell if someone has a bot if their accuracy is only 40%. But crucially, the player can select when to use it, and also have a key bound to a different profile so when they are the last man standing, for example, they can make sure they do not lose.

Bug fixes on Workout, Season, Facade, Bazaar and Marquis

I like the grenade camera. They are trying to stop hacks being most common at top level with 2 hour accounts shutting down global, nice they did what people asked looks like.

I was told there is more vac to pass today. I thought these things done in waves altogether but perhaps they are targeting to clear out prior to dh

Interesting news re the LAN Qualifiers. Supposedly Mouz (do we finally get to see onlineJ perform on LAN?), CPH.W, F3, 3D Maxx and LC atm. I'd love to see Wolves there, I reckon they could pull off a few upsets!

I was under the impression ScreaM left Titan? Your point remains the same though, admittedly.

NBK wanted to leave titan with kennys and smithzz while ditching scream and Ex6TenZ, kennys having had a similar situation happen to him a while back didn't agree with it and stayed.

Then the french shuffle happened, scream was kind of left out of any team until he joined epsilon.

I think thats what happened anyway, could be wrong on a few things

This is how it was when I used to play quake3 in top teams.
There were 3 teams with private passworded websites with specific tools/hacks and a small community of people (most knew eachother irl).

I'm really glad something is happening in relation to banning these people in pro teams.

I've not really played CSGO properly as I've been playing other games, I've been watching streams/tourneys etc & the amount of money involved now is pretty immense.

I was also reading rumours of a Denmark based cheat developer and a small community of pro's back when CSGO was picking up speed but just took it as people being paranoid.
