CS:GO Discussion

Yep, need to work on my consistency somehow. Sorry about that last game I played poo. Feel like I let the side down bad. Especially with those finishes Joel got. At least with randoms if you play like ****e, it's easier to forget.
No worries chap. We all have bad games. One game earlier in the night I only had 6 kills. I swear a not could have out fragged me haha.

No worries, surprised I managed to hold my own on a map I've never played before (cobblestone).
sorry for my mic newbishness, haven't used teamspeak in ages and its not set up properly, never used it in CS:GO. Will get it sorted for next time. was fun anyway cheers for the invite and will be happy to join you again.

Edit: any tips on settings to use for teamspeak?

You did well. Seems like you have spray control down pretty well. The only criticism I would have would be knowing when to buy and when to eco. Quite a few of the eco rounds you bought.

Yeah I realised after I had bought you guys didn't have the money. Something I will pay more attention on from now on. Obvs if TS was working I would have asked the plan :)

Any body got a Stattrack M4A1-s balisik or Stattrack Atomic alloy or Stattrack M4a4 Desert strike they would like to trade for my FN Glock Water Elemental? depending on condition I could add something else to make the value up.
Cheers

hyper x cloud and an Asus Xonar DGX sound card

the hyper x cloud is the same as that headset :)

If you value your audio fidelity please don't buy these, yes for a gaming headset they aren't bad but they aren't the same as the "hype'd" Hyper X's and frankly for that budget you are far better off buying some ACTUAL HEADPHONES!!!!! Not only will this improve any audio you might listen to be it music or film but it will also give you better in game sound. Then buy a £6 clip on mic.

Get a decent headset such as Samson SR850i (£30), ATH-M30x (£60). ATH-M40x (£71).

On the bay there is currently my headset from japan the ATH-AD700x for about £90-100 inc postage and for gaming you won't get a much better set.

Also some motherboards now have resonable sound, what motherboard do you have? If it doesn't grab a cheap asus sound card.

Remember guys if you are buying a gaming headset for gaming you are doing it wrong!!!!!!!

If we are talking about the previous Hyper X's that were hyped aka the same model as the Qpad QH-90 then yes I have heard them but not used them extensively. Like most closed cup headset's they are far too bass heavy but do have a reasonable sound quality for a gaming headset.

Rjkoneill you might know PC parts but I know sound ;)

Sound previous artists I have worked with..The Cure, Snow Patrol, The View, Bad Company etc etc

Yes, but a lot of people think beats headphones are good for audio as well, that doesn't mean they give you an accurate representation. Make no mistake, the qpads and hyper's aren't bad. But for that kind of money you can get far better sound.

i dont think you can compare beats/these headphones.

for the majority of the population they are a great (all in one) solution. 1

i like my sound. i like accurate sounds. FLAC + SE535's is heavenly and i love the sound of the qpads. i mean im not expert and have not worked in the industry or anything of the sort but i know my ears

My issues with closed cup / inner ear headphones is that bass is too heavy / pronounced in the majority of cases. Of I have never heard your shures so couldn't really say regarding them.

I'd certainly agree the the qpad / hypers are better than a lot of gaming headsets out there, but for audio fidelity you can do better.

Thanks for the input and discussion guys. I have a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty soundcard as my motherboard was getting interference from my new PSU. I assume this will be ok for any of those headphones?
I really dont want movies or listen to music much at my PC just game and its generally FPS games BF series and counterstrike really.
I know a lot about computers, software and lots of tech but I have a big blind spot on audio.
