keep trying, i also notice double clicking the server usually lets me in the game.

Either

A) Restart Steam
B) Double click the server instead of right clicking and hitting connect or pressing connect, just double click it.
 
join this server guys, ive been on it nearly all day lol. UK Server, good community and map rotation, been full all day and still has 25 players on.

Why?

I'm loving this. I was never pro at CS, so always just played it for fun and never got caught up in the spray pattern or recoil stuff. CS:S was then a nice shiny looking remake for the times, and CS:GO is the same again.

I still hate the AWP though :(
 
Right, as you might have seen I've requested that CS:GO be added to the Steam names list thing.

I'll start making a list of servers that OcUKers own or recommend, and post it occasionally. If we get a decent list I'll ask a Don to add it to the OP. I've only gone back a few pages so no doubt I've probably missed some...

Played the beta for a couple of hours last night. First impressions...

If you liked the old CSS, you will like this! It's the same dynamics and gameplay just with maps and graphics refreshed. It's not COD, its not BF3 - its a refreshed CSS.

I liked it. Sounds are "ok" and the music is a bit much but ill be turning that off and putting spotify on anyway.

Only took a couple of rounds before i was back top of the board with a KPD > 3, I like how its harder to AWP with the hazed scope. The game modes look ok but TBH i only played in the classic.

Looking forward to having a session tonight.

I like the way it looks personally it seems pretty clean/fresh not to complicated. Makes for a smooth game imo.
Some of the weapons are a bit lame looking though, like the FOV is up way to high. They look really skinny and long (the shotguns look the worse I feel).
Hopefully the MP5 is back in it soon, last time I played the beta it appeared to be in the files some where just not in the actual game at the time. I would like the silencers back as well. I preferred the old style USP skin as well.
For gun game I need to sort out the respawn time so it is a bit longer, will stop the spawn raping and give people chance to move away.
 
Having had a on-off love affair with CS since 2006 when I seen this coming out was really looking forward to it.

CS 1.6 was a cracking game and so was CSS so everything was looking good for this. I don't think they have disappointed, the new menu's look modern and pleasant on the eye, the option to use matchmaking or choose the server you want to connect to is a great addition also.

As for gameplay, well absolutely great love most guns tho the PP-Bizon is shocking :/. The maps look really good slightly improved from Source with some nice changes put in. I think it is all set up for a really solid game upon release.

Yes this is the thing I find most annoying about the game. I think the worst weapon is the new heavy machine gun - the weird view makes it look like some small plastic toy compared to the pistols that look massive, almost like they are up you nose!!

so then change the view then?!? Of all the things to moan about I honestly don't understand especially when there's options directly built into the menus for this and if you still dont like it use console commands
 
I think the shotguns are a tad overpowered. Was messing about on office, some was able to get a 1 hit kill from one side of the corridor to the other with a shotty :S Mmmm
