CS:GO Discussion

Sorry to derail with some super 'noob' questions...

What's with the different colour guns and 'crates'?!
I haven't played in years, it's all new.

Do they 'do' anything or are they just different colours?!
I've made four quid selling them (and trading cards, which seem equally pointless) over the last few days. That's insane to me!!!

If they don't do anything different, I'm basically being given money to play a game I was playing anyway?!

I've been playing almost exclusively on 'Demolition'. I generally have at least as many kills as deaths. I foolishly thought I must be at least OK at it, but I tried competitive and had no idea what was going on and think I got one kill in the entire match.

Any sites or videos you guys recommend to 'noobs' for tips on getting up to speed?

So I traded my way back to a Max fade m9. I then traded to a M9 tiger tooth again. As I kinda like them. Had 80+ keys so decided to open a few boxes.

M9 95% fade :)

Get in, liked my 100% fade though so added a few keys and traded back with the guy I traded with.

Now sat with a Tiger Tooth M9 and Max Fade M9.

Thought as I had a lucky opening I'd unbox my cobble drop. Scar rubbish haha

Yes its bonkers but thats why they are here pretty much. Cash raised helps map makers and I think pays for servers also the LAN prizes. Skins affect nothing, I always thought a bright pink gun is a tactical fail but really there is no effect

Pub play is deceptive, makes you think you're good:D Thought I was awesome for winning arms race on a mission, I have seen a global struggle with this honestly. If you get like 10 in a row on deathmatch, maybe it helps with clutch kills for surviving at round end.
The average skill level is silver or nova and pub players are noticeably slower to react, I think its just a warm up at best.

Heres a couple more, they have reserve slots for esea so on occasion the average skill level could be above nova perhaps

Not sure your rank but I would argue practise that pistol only will force you to get headshot as a reflex more. If I respawn and know where someone is or they got their back to me I switch to pistol, good practise is not about winning but improving your weakest point in a game and often that will be eco with a pistol. To old players, recognising pistols can beat rifle or even be better in csgo is a big thing.

Maybe watch warowl on youtube, Adren https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UMbgY_PAIs&t=100

open a few boxes.

M9 95% fade
massive massive luck really. 852 cases no knife is possible or onscreen I think did 3000 and got 2 knives like urban dash, he was keeping a .xls
The cobble one is even more extreme, a key case has a shorter list so the odds are better then opening a map case

Had some good games with raider last last, won 3 in a row (nothing to do with the carry at all lol).. Still so much to learn, every game I see/learn something new.

I feel my aim is improving at longer ranges but still need to work on my spray pattern.

Anyway 5 hours sleep (thanks raider), now feeling shattered!

was that Cro or what ever his name is hopened like 3000 cases on a stream?

As for teh other things

All death match and pub does for you is give you those quick shot chances you rarely ever get in game.

I'm talking about flick 180's with the awp whilst 2 guys from different angles miss you. IT doesn't give you any confidence with clutches.

You want to practice clutches you literrally have to play B or Long A on and bait your team so your the last alive.

Death match won't teach anything about patience and logic.

Team matches for example you have HP info that tells you a lot about the situation but at DMG there is still pub hero mode enabled so you can't rely on logic the thing that rages me the most in the game is when people do the dumb **** and i'm not ready for it because I've assumed they wouldn't do dumb **** like that,

3 knives and nice ones but 1892 cases before the first? holy moly
£4,500 spent for 12 coverts and 3 knives, I think csgo dlc is the best system but really that is so not worth it. Why does it pay, basically its lottery type gambling so its a premium thing I think is the answer which is banned in parts of usa or thats my theory

DM relates to using cover and returning fire I think, anything decent from comp isnt there but at nova I think its some basic help/experience and arguably everything is basic at that level still
I agree teamwork is main advantage possible https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAZXjfD9e7A

people do the dumb
occasional dumb works. Watched a pro match like that, T won inferno 3 or 4 rounds just rushing up mid while CT held angles killed one and got overran. They realised to use nades to stop it, the T went back to proper play, lost some but damage was done to the match score and economy

just got my 1st 40 bomb lol (41in fact) the hackusations where real! can't wait for them to watch the demo and realise they where just playing dumb!
It was against gn2s and gn3s so only a couple below my main rank, think confidence plays a massive part in hitting your shots. In that game I also had a ace and 2x4 kill rounds.
