CS:GO Discussion

Lost 4 games in a row tonight and got absolutely destroyed in the last one buy an obvious cheater. Seriously sapping the fun out of it for me so I'm gonna take a break from it and refocus on my YouTube content instead

Because I recently purchased one myself and I love the mouse, I think the sensor on it is by far the most accurate i've ever had but the sniper button does my head in. Why did you sell yours?

It was a replacement for my G400 which had a broken cable which I've replaced myself, bought some new mouse feet and the mouse still works till this day.

Overall the mouse is lightweight, the sensor is average, the build quality is very plastic and the ergonomics of the mouse force you to do a certain grip. For the price I sold it the mouse was possibly a no-brainer for what it offers, there aren't many 'good' budget mouses around any more...

After having and trying different mouses such as: Steelseries Ikari Laser & Optical, A4tech 710bh, Microsoft WMO, Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0, Mionix Naos 7000, Zowie FK1, Zowie EC1, Corssair M65, Razer Deathadder, Razer Naga (Perfect for MMO, not FPS...)... There were more, but I can't remember from top of my head them all. But I'm still stuck with Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0 which has the MT04 sensor, the closest mouse to this sensor from my experience is the S3988 which you can find in the deathadder or krait 3.5G. I tried those mouses on different surfaces; glass, hard mat, metal, plastic, hybrid and cloth seems to be my favourite (SS Qck heavy ;))

If my IE3.0 dies, doubt that this will happen any time soon... I will go for the S3988 sensor, as I hate the 3310 since it has too much smoothing and correction. Take my opinion with a pinch of salt, I only ranked up to supreme and I've been solo queueing since LE-LEM.

Lost twice last night, anyone have an opinion of how I could have improved this scenario?

I'm at B on Mirage alone, a call is made on coms for middle going to short to b. I push up to give myself the angle as they have at least 2 AWP's. I dodge the first AWP'er hiding behind the wall watching short and pull back slightly. At which time at least 1 of their players has run in to B and planted. I killed him, didn't have a diffuse and get killed with <1 second remaining so they win the round.

Obviously the comments on the coms weren't too pleasant, but if someone makes a call to mid, I did the right thing pushing up right? The only thing I can think of doing is pulling all the way back to kitchen but I could easily get myself in trouble if they boost in to jungle or have an AWP in apartments.

Similar thing happened in another round, I personally think the biggest issue was that I was alone at B most rounds!

Statistically you'd have had a better chance at the retake if you backed off to kitchen and waited for your team to rotate. In reality, on Mirage if you're the B player you'll be alone most rounds as the second B player tends to be holding mid / window with 3 on A - 1 connector watching underpass, 1 watching ramp and 1 watching palace.

You don't make it clear where on site you are but you could have possibly thrown a smoke into apps and sat in it but really if you're team are taking ages to rotate then going at least 1 for 1 in trades is as much as you should be expected to do.

People will always rage if you die, even if they would have done the exact same thing.

Wow haha, I actually made a thread in the 'Gaming Peripherals' section of this forum about a fake Intellimouse 3.0 I bought off eBay and asked for an alternative. Many people said that the Zowie EC1-A is the best replacement. I'm thinking that or the Steelseries Rival, what would you recommend?

7 day cool down because I kicked too many players recently???? seriously what the 'insert swear word of choice' is wrong with this game.

it's infested with greifers/hackers/smurfs/morons. finding decent randoms is like trying to win the lottery. when you do get a half decent team and need to remove an idiot you get banned for it. well done

Yep. I'm not even sure why the kick feature is there. If they are AFK then the system will kick them, if they do too much team damage then the system will kick them.
If they are extremely rude, then block them. If they are griefers, you kick them and then you get a cooldown.

yea make perfect sense doesn't it.....include a feature that you get banned for using. quality. been playing CS in it's various guises since pretty much the start and I got to say CSGO pees me off so much it's not even funny. if I could get a refund I would. and to top it off unless you've got a group of folk you can play with regular the general gaming population on it is pretty much toxic

CS Community has always been toxic, not so much now because I think a high percentage of the player base has grown up. I remember people ( teenagers) organising fights at Lans on SGL/ED/CSGN etc forums at one point

gotta disagree. out of the 100's of hours and games I've played on CSGO I have maybe only met a handful (single figures) of 'decent' folk. years gone by I found I was getting online meeting friendly players most every other game

Previous versions of CS were just as toxic, only difference is it wasn't as popular back then compared to what it is now

quite possibly, I may be looking back through rose tinted specs

don't get me wrong I'm not looking for a peaceful serene experience and I'm not exactly easily offended but what has properly peeved me here is the fact they give you a tool to get rid of a player who is disruptive/annoying - ok I know you can sometimes get kicked by idiots for no reason esp if they are Russian or Polish premades - but to in effect get a game suspension for using that tool is completely and utterly out of order and a ridiculous situation
