CS:GO Discussion

Is there a OCUK steam group for CS?

Depends what you mean.

Is there a group where people regularly look for players who are online to play with? No.

Are there groups where people join and then forget about them? Yes.

If you wanna play with people, add them. There was a google document somewhere where people added themselves, and you can add people who have the same rank as you.

Cool didn't know about the Google Sheet i found it and added my self.

For anyone too lazy to find it https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1n6ruDsC731Nind8UrZTY_bGzPAscnxb_tGd1VTmmTwA/edit#gid=0 :D

Cheers, I'll add myself to the spreadsheet once I've gotten my rank.

I have been getting some small lag in the past few days. It is definitely not ping related, since my ping/loss/choke are all good. The lag is weird. Once every few seconds (between 20s and 1 min) there is a small stutter step, i.e. it doesn't read the command, be it walk forward, change weapon, whatever.
Once possible cause is that my SV value fluctuates a lot. It changes between servers, but it can be between 2-4 on one server and between 9 and 14 on another server. The number doesn't really matter though, since there is the same when sv is 3 or 10. The std. deviation (+-) is always very low, and so is the var value.
I have re-installed the game and stopped all AV software running but I still get the same problem. My FPS is 200 stable (capped at 200) and I have a good enough machine: i7 4770K @ stock speeds, 280x for graphics and a 126GB SSD. FPS should not be an issue (contrary to what I read online).
Does anyone have any potential solutions? Thanks.

anyone else prone to pushing their keyboard away from them while playing ? ill be playing then all of a sudden think my wrist is hurting, look down and the keyboard at a 45 degree angle haha.... I have since stopped it by putting something behind the keyboard, just wondered if anyone else did the same ? only cs too

I'm told only Liquid has a chance at cevo upset today. But I think 13% for CLG is a bit too far, that would be assuming only C9 can improve clg have lost their igl
1st day of lan even with bo3 is more possible for underdog I guess, Im biased to CLG though as they are very aggressive team but C9 knows that perfectly

keyboard at a 45 degree angle

Ergonomics yea, finding your natural stance will help you probably. Keyboards imo are too big, you naturally will want to put your hands closer together I think http://i.imgur.com/YPanebP.png
I use a plug in mini keyboard meant for a laptop or a pi, Im used to the smaller keys now and I never used keypad anyway, that part is chopped off. Its about 1 hand span wide

Just done a couple games on popflash.site, nice and easy to use and no cheaters.

Needs some more good players though, won 16-1, 16-2, 16-5 and 16-10 when dicking around, plus we got matched with the same guy in 2 games.

Everyone's really friendly though.
