CS:GO Discussion

Just rage quit my first ever comp game. Was against 2 obvious cheaters in the previous match and then got put against another obvious aimbotter. I lasted 4 rounds before abandoning the game. The latest patch is atrocious and the game is riddled with a mixture of cheaters and smurfs which ruin the fun completely. Valve don't even give a **** either.

im still playing casual trying to rank up seems to take forever :( I was a dmg when I played competitive before this new rank system came into place

Hackers out for school holidays maybe. 4 out of 5 games? and 1 game was a derank test so mm lined up something so easy it was almost 16-0 win so not a proper game either.
The last game they were convinced the demo will show them legit. Was covered wh, false flick and not overplaying it but you can tell because they are 'magnetic' in looking at each player in turn approaching a corner & timing which is not normal gamesense in my experience. I guess ow wont convict apart from 1 obvious smoke kill
Was this in a MM or DM. What map?

Nice drop.

It could be either, its a coin drop from his weekly xp rank up. Coin on a smurf is quite rare but worth it when this happens
Thats pretty much 99% the best luck drop you could have really

I love Office, don't judge
I have silly hours on office because it was the 1 map that worked on css (for me) so I'd play that np

Just rage quit my first ever comp game
practise smokes or something. Really I prefer the 16-0 hackers at least its quick though its the worst elo damage afaik
Drop a decoy round a corner and run into the 'flash' ? hackers in theory are low level, at least below dmg they seem to be, I know booster services which quit there.
After timeout, it takes +7 days to clear fully. So 24hr its actually 8 days to full expunge

im still playing casual trying to rank up seems to take forever
Fastest XP is arms race, go get a drink for a minute or w/e. Come back and get like 10 kills in a row by using rifles on the players who now have pistols and its 250xp in a few minutes maybe. Way less patience then casual required
Not trolling, its good practice for them as pistol can beat rifle but ranks are usually low

I kinda gave up on CS not because of cheaters but because most of the community has screaming children in it then I get annoyed and play offline games or Arma.

It's Barry Chuckle here, we spoke briefly on steam.

I've got a few accounts so haven't seen you online.

But will catch you for some games hopefully at somepoint as discussed :D (Whats your steam name, forgotten which account has you added)

Hey man, yeah I've been trying to catch you online. My steam is akmeeda, same as my forum name here. :)

I'm on holiday for the next week and a bit so I will see you on after. :)

voice_enable 0 :D all problems resolved! I don't play competitively so I have no need for voice comms.

I'm back (again), and will be up for some games tonight. Just to add my two pence to the sensitivity discussion, Im using an EC1, 6/11, 1 in game, 450dpi - works out as something like 92cm/360, I pick my mouse up about 2-3 times for a 180 on my PureTrack Talent.

Anything higher is, for me, a trade off. I get better flick shots but then most of my small adjustments and pre-aiming/tracking is sacrificed - I'd rather the more accurate small adjustments and pre-aiming/tracking than flicking, suits my playstyle more.

The amount of money going into the skin gambling pots is insane! Watched some chap on twitch last night gamble $2000 of skins in an $8000 pot and won the whole lot, so much money to be potentially losing/winning.

I'd love to do a bit of skin gambling for a bit of fun but I can imagine that quite a bit of investment is required to even stand a chance above a 2% win with these pots thats require $10 minimum.

Does anyone do any of this, how have you found it? Would love to be fortunate enough to just win a single knife, this case opening malarky isn't proving very fruitful, I regret selling the butterfly knife I won a few months back as I bought GTA5 with it which I've hardly played :p

ezskins has a silver pot, which limits each player to bet between $1 and $30. 60 skins max per pot.

Yeah but it's Steam Wallet money. I'd rather have real money to be honest.

Cheers will have a do on that next time I'm on :)

Agreed, if I ever were to come into some serious steam wallet money I'd just buy games for people at their request and sell with a -20% price tag or something. I think someone has actually done this recently in MM.

Thanks for the ezskins recommendation Malteser, might have a play with it over the weekend :)

Haven't played since about Feb/March I think, just came back after getting level 3 and gone up several ranks and 8 wins in a row + 1 draw, did loads of cheaters get banned or whats happened?

Has there been a lot of bans recently? Stopped playing around February and came back 3 days ago and its a lot easier than I remember around my rank.

Not lost a game yet(8 wins + 1 draw) and been promoted from MGE to LE.

I also hardly ever got above 25 kills before I quit around DMG but I just got promoted and had this game. It doesn't feel right.

Edit: That same time post tho.

Are you two sure you're not the same person?! :p

And yes there was a big VAC wave shortly after the two of you stopped playing, quite a few since too. You do still get cheaters, but nowhere near as many. Overwatch has made a big difference.

The result is that everyone has been bumped up about two ranks. For most people it's just a matter of re-calibrating your perception of ranks as everyone within your rank should be of a similar level. That is of course unless you're Global which now has people of former SMFC, LEM/LE level. It's the only rank which has a vast disparity of skill level.

sold the knight :) no point keeping it when it can be dropped it will devalue more and more.

dropped near £20 in value over night

bought Fallout 4 for myself and a mate who paid me £35 for it :) so got some real money back have some change for keys or a game i might like

no drama always nice to get a nice drop but it's not that good looking a skin it's only worth any money due to rarity in being dropped (albeit now increased due to levels) and the fact it can be traded up to a Dragon lore. which is also a horrifically ugly skin.

Also doesn't look good in my collection of hideously beige skins :D

debating on buying a hideous knife for lols :D

you need to see my inventory to understand

with exception to the monkey business 57 all my skins are horrid and intentionally that way

I've tried to compile a selection of skins that are worse than stock :D

just needs a really gammy safari mesh flip knife or something to finish it off
