CS:GO Discussion

Razer Deathadder never failed me. I think it is quite big too, which is what you are after.

Apparently Zowie make some decent mice. Might want to look at them.

i've been using deathadder for the past 3-4 years. I love the feel of the mouse, it's very comfortable. With that being said, the build quality is pretty bad.
I'm on my 5th one, a chroma now. Out of the 5 i only bought 2(stupidly misplaced my warranty for one of them), the rest were replaced during warranty. Left click, middle click went dead or miss-triggering (either NOT triggering, or double click action on single click). If my current one breaks again in under 1 year, i WILL move from Razer.
i like how zowies look and feel, but they are very light for me, even the deathadder is quite lightweight for me.

I'm gonna try next the SteelSeries Rival or the Asus ROG Gladius if nothing that looks similar, has a good weight appears by then

Really? I bought a 2nd hand Deathadder from here back in 2011 and it still works perfectly.

SS on the other hand have bad quality imo :p I'm on my 5th Siberia (3 v2s, 1 v3, 1 elite prism) headset.

Few fun games last night, Spud on I think 3rd round in inferno running up mid with 3 of us around him had a nade out and got shot. Killed 3 of us got banned for 30mins. Still managed to get a draw with one of the more intense games Ive played lately.

It was bad at the time, so unlucky but I did laugh my arse off, never seen it before :)

We did well to get the draw.

Next map had issues to. Troubs had weird connection problems and I was getting weird lag spiking also.
We couldn't hold off as ct, it was a close match but we lost.

Seems 6 defeats and 2 draws will get you deranked, back down to mg2 for me :(

I wish I could kick that habit. I reload after a kill on just about any gun and then die to the guy that runs out whilst I'm mid-reload :(

Saw an interesting video on this which had an interesting idea which I found actually helped as I was prone to reloading way too often. When you are playing deathmatch unbind the reload key and play for a while like that it will help you break the habit or reloading every time you kill someone.

Yaaaay.

So I played this game briefly last year, got 12 wins then shelved it.

Just been playing again this past week. Just done 3 competative matches after practising for a while. First two = disaster. 3rd after adjusting my mouse sensitivity:

Chuffed with that. Not often I do well at these things :)

Nice well done. That just proves that you should be playing at a higher rank if you play like that consistently. When you find your right rank it will be a challenge and you won't win every game, it's quite a good little system once you are ranked accordingly.

yeah, i've actually gone through 4 deathadders, and this is my 5th. Mouse clicks seem to be the death of these things(for me at least). After the first 2 i thought i had bad luck, but now, I think it's more like bad components/build quality.
as for headsets i had a SS 4H which i broke (pulled the cable by mistake waaay to hard, and broke the little volume controller module).

It was the best nade ever :D still can't work out how I managed it but the bloody think literally rolled forward about a foot from my throw :(

unless you play with boosted people which it seems i play a lot with. Seems DMG, LE, LED has high chance of pairing you with hit-or-miss players (either good ones or bad ones), you're average joe seems rare at that level.

I see what all the fuss is about global not being what it used to be now. I never played global back then, only rejoined the cs series in May, however i joined a lobby with my regular mates (LEM) to find them queuing with a global. I thought **** ok, gotta get your game on.

I second fragged first match which we won 16-9 on overpass. Real enjoyable. Opposing team had 2 globals & 2 supremes & LEM, couldnt believe it, I spanked em.

Second match on Inferno, I top fragged by a good way but my team couldnt seem to carry on after I'd made a pick and i was left fighting a 1v3 or more. To be fair they had been on all day and I was fresh into my night of cs. We lost 16-8 but had respectable opposition and a fun all round match. Even got a 4k and defuse! :)

All in all great night, teamplay was efficient, strong opponents and it was great to have the game insight of a global. Carrying jgraider and seeing his perf in a few games I wonder how he even kept his high ranks. Must be his nades :p

215 wins not to bad for global ggs edward and joe!!! need to stop playing madmax tho i feel like im aiming with an xbox pad :(

Finally got 1440x1080 resolution working on AMD.. what a hassle compared to Nvidia!

Got my Deathadder and BenQ XL2730Z coming in later on today, looking forward to using them!

some good games last night chaps and i hit a pistol ace which made it better. so nice playing in a full lobby where everyone is getting on nicely

Looking to get into this and it's all a bit intimidating to be honest, but so was StarCraft and Street Fighter so nothing new there.

What's the best way to start getting into this? I'm no stranger to competitive games and will even be going to Evo next year for a Street Fighter tournament if that makes any difference.

Are there any modes/weapon sets/tactics I should be starting with?

start with deathmatch/arms race well its pretty much all you can start with anyways as you need to get your account to level 3.

thats the best way though.
