CS:GO Discussion

Seriously though after becoming obsessed with this game and having over £100 worth of skins and feeling good about it at the time I can honestly say now that I have sold them all (at a profit luckily) I feel absolutely no different what so ever when I play the game.

Any ideas why a skin wouldn't sell that was up for £1 below going rate, I've been trying to get rid of it for a few days and nobody is buying.

Edit: Nvm I was being dumb and not doing the verification.

Just queued with Cookeh on his LEG account with his two Global mates and we went againts a full team of SMFC.

I was at the bottom of the scoreboard but it was a good game and we won. Nice to get into higher ranked games once in a while to see what you need to improve on.

The skill quality on popflash is generally higher(or faceit, was watching byali on a pro game on it, basically every player was from a major team. Even at pleb level, quite a few higher ranks I think) . Queued with a load of german LE/M I think they were. I was getting all assists yesterday, I hurt them bad but not got the kill repeatedly so basically I sucked but I did hit them lol.

Also on Tuesday you can gametest a custom map on some private reddit servers (plus some just scrim normal maps). Players there range all across, some globals and near to. Admin you can call on, practically paradise compared to mm. Its like a minute to join even a new map, it auto downloads its only the hassle of waiting on ts for game to start.
I think people like instant comp including those who want the driveby trolling, its a bit harder on a fixed server with admin imo

I managed to impress one supreme with a 180 flick hs, those dm skills :p Ive turned mouse accel on to see if I can improve from it at all
Sounds bad idea but it seems a clever system, I keep my normal sens mostly but if I rapidly move the mouse it ramps up the sens to a capped amount I define.
Its workable, im undecided on it still

I would turn mouse acceleration back off if I was you!

There's a reason practically everyone who is any good plays with it turned off :)

Got a new knife after 3 ish months of trading I have ended up with a Factory new m9 Doppler (Phase 2):

Also had a vanilla Karambit which my fiancee wanted for a birthday present :D Not bad considering I started with a butterfly vanilla!

Nice man, wanna sell me it for 10 dollars?
Messing aside, been wanting to get a knife but I hardly use the standard as it is and therefore can't justify the insane price for some cool animation when getting it out to run

Always good to entertain your teammates when your the last left saving your gun (your name suggests you need this).

Probably half ****ed.

One thing that caught me out with these skins tho.
How even tho is FN you can still get better quality ones then others. Not really FN and a bit of a scam it's self. I now spend 5 mins per skin I get checking if ther is a better quality. ******** really. I am pleased with my Dragon King tho, at the time of writing it is currently the 6th best on Steam Analyst with a flaot of 0.0004863767 to precise. This whole float stuff is rubbish as well.

Some pro players have it but not many, swag but I think he got none now. If I had a much bigger space for desk/pad I'd probably not bother trying it
Just had overpass mix on reddit server and still got kills vs higher ranks so seems ok still, just goes into overdrive when wildly looking for someone but I think its set there is no boost with normal movement. I'll trial it a bit more

6th best on Steam Analyst
Must be worth something, ask for a PC (price check) on here so someone doesnt make you an offer youcant refuse (but should) :p

Someone just told me Swedish schools teach CSGO in schools.

so far behind? why, what exactly will they be learning from csgo? genuine question btw

Well there is two separate topics "The eSports curriculum" and "Using video games as a learning tool".

As far as csgo goes its being used in the eSports curriculum which plans to involve tactics training, time management, stress management etc.

I saw that reddit post about using Mouse Accell switched on and I don't agree with it personally.

This reply on the thread is what I agree with (to do with consistency)

"As a somewhat highly skilled player and a somewhat known player in the community, I'd like to share my thoughts on the matter:

I have played with mouseacceleration for approximately 6 years in CS, recently playing 0.6 sensitivity at 800 dpi with 1.1 acceleration in-game.

I have decided to make the transition to playing without mouse acceleration, as so many of the comments people make about muscle memory and such, got to me.

I am currently playing ESEA Premier and CEVO Main with Team Decerto, where I play without mouse-acceleration, having only spent less than 2 months growing accustomed to it.

I feel I have made more improvement in my aim in those 2 months than the last year with mouse acceleration.

It is the case, that I have become much more motivated, more focused and I also aimpracc almost every day, something I didn't do the past year with acceleration where I also had problems with focus and motivation.

I currently play 0.85 sensitivity at 800 dpi and while I wish I could play at a higher sensitivity, this is what fits me.

It surprises me how good Swag is with accel and he is what kept me going with acceleration for so long but I do believe that playing without mouse acceleration is the best option.

While it may not be improving the gameplay of the general player, I feel that aim-wise you hit a skillcap with acceleration, something you don't do without. The last few months of me playing with acceleration I kept asking myself the question "How do I get better?"

I feel I already am after having turned it off :)"
