CS:GO Discussion

I pretty much only solo queue, you get good and bad games, worse case you've got to spend 20 minutes in a bad game and move on.

Gone from Silver 3 to now finally GN3 last night. I noticed the system seems to pay much more weighting on your MVP game status over anything else.

I'm aiming for MG2 then i'l be happy.

This game needs a squad up option where you can elect to team up with anyone else from the previous game for another game, then be put back into matchmaking rather than dumped at the main menu.

I'm quite introvert and have no CS:GO friends but wouldn't mind this kinda of fleeting way of playing a few games with a decent team you've happended across.

Nice, how long has that taken you? How many wins? I'm on GN2 and started at Silver IV not long ago. On 43 wins I think. I do rack up MVP well enough evewn if the game isn't going our way. Apparently each round is counted individually as opposed to the whole game.

@ Dup

Go watch tab > your matches > select the person you want to add > add steam profile. IIRC since they updated the watch tab you can't directly invite them from there into a lobby, but you can add them to see if they wanna play another. Alternatively just add them in game if they are good / nice guys.

Not long, I only play a few competitive matches a week. probs about 30-40 games?

read somewhere how the ranking system work (big picture) and it's more a case of how many rounds you won (your team). That's why it is always good to tryhard every round, even if you have a hefty advantage.
don't do 5 awp's on cache like i did couple of nights ago :)

You should just add people onto friends list, you wont have to bring them tea and toast first thing in the morning, you could literally just use it to invite to lobbies.

Ive read its not ELO system but https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glicko_rating_system
used to calculate your numerical score behind the ranks. It is rounds based yea.

If you get 14-16 loss then dont be too cut up about it, as likely you havent lost much score or got that much closer to rank down.

Im calling this game officially weird. Who knew LEM tactics involved a scoped in AUG on dropper, works so well
If you got an ace, it'll be stored centrally for about a month as a demo with steam. You just need the code, post it here and anyone who wants can view it without any video being made

Yea if you want to rank up, win big to compensate for the games you can do nothing about. I'm fine just waiting for the round to end by time out, I think its kinda silly to chase kills and risk a win but the score system probably supports the hard fragging approach

Solo Qing MM is just an awful experience.
I dont think so, just dont take it too seriously. Just play it like casual do something different, its just time to line up a smoke or some tactic, a popflash. Like a super simple smoke off on inferno pit, I always forget it or Im not in the habit of using that smoke(neither is anyone else at my rank) but in a silly game I practise that and it'll help a proper map play later

Good grief, life must be so hard for you.

Thanks for your valuable input, I can see your 6k+ posts must have been of great benefit to the forums.

Back to CSGO its just a shame to see the state of the European servers when you watch NA games and the trolling is minimal and the communication is effective.

Mate...Americans are...Well.. Americans..
Rude as can be tbh and a lot lot of loudmouth kids and trollers.

If you solo you will get nice teams (even with nice russians like I had lately) for a while, or you will get a ****streak of morons and people that dont use mic and only have 1 tactic in their book RASH B!

If you can't handle the randomness you will need to queue with mates, not like it's hard to send friendrequests to people to meet in games that listen and try and work as a team.

The Russians seem to destroy any teamwork in a game I'm in.

It was just an observation from a guy who had played over 800 matchmaking games and the vast majority of people he played with were there just to play CS and work as a team.

The thing that was most annoying was the inability to kick two trolls, that's something that needs looking at.

What do you expect? We all wanna moan from time to time but man up, life ain't cherry coated. It's only MM, just concentrate on your own game or look to improve a specific skills. Turn a negative into a positive.

It's not hard to find 10-20 people to play with, add all the nice guys and decent plays you play with and you'll have a group in no time.

Man up > report > move on. The system is fine.

Man up > Admit the game is in a dire state > Accept changes to the system can improve it.

Why couldn't you kick them? But yea just report them and they will get an ow ban as it's fairly obvious griefing. Had one a whole back, kicked him, then the other 3 wanted to go so kicked all of them and played 1v5, was actually quite fun to be honest. Didn't last long and I was just arseing about with the other team. I solo queing quite a lot on my alt accounts and if I get morons I just turn voice off and play solo practicing certain things, don't see the point of getting angry about it. Still managed to work my way to lem on one of my smurf just solo, and I'd say 80% at least of my games are fine with team mates who want to play properly.
