The game isn't in a dire state, it is very well balanced. Matchmaking is awful though yes, but matchmaking is just for the average player who want to hop on and play a few games and be done with it. Its not meant to be super competitive, it doesn't even have competitive round/bomb timings!

That doesn't mean there aren't a bunch of trolls/idiots/griefers/cheaters in MM but you can alleviate some of the pain by queuing with 5.

The discussion was about matchmaking entirely not sure why you had to mention game balance. I was referring to the vote kick system mainly which can be improved to combat trolls. Games/Sports get improved all the time I don't see why that is so inconceivable.

The problem is the severs we get put on are located in Sweden (Stockholm I believe) which means its good pings for Russians also.

I didn't know they were all located there.

It's a shame there isn't some located on our soil.

Well when you say "the GAME is in a dire state" it can only mean one thing? How does matchmakings votekick function being not how you want it to equate to the game being in "dire state"? How would you change it? Problem is you cant really change it without there being even more room for abuse. What MM needs is actual punishments for toxic people/trolls et al.

Luxembourg, Vienna and Stockholm. If you are located in the UK you can be matched on any of those servers. Check for a thing called "Matchmaking server picker. You can block the IP ranges of Stockholm and Vienna. Less Ruskis then!

The discussion had been about matchmaking in Europe, unless you want me to quote everything everytime I post its easier if you read previous posts and imo the other modes are not significant. I do agree with punishments for toxic people/trolls which have been put in place in other games.

Probably wanting to de-rank, guess all you can do is just report them for griefing and move on. Not much more to say really.

Also concerning MM; It isn't ever gonna be the tactical game you want it to be. If you want a deeper game, get 5 and play in leagues. Even at the highest end of global you will be lucky to get someone to pop flash for you once in 10 games.

I read all your posts, I responded to your post first even. You raged, people told you to chill and Q with friends, you said the game was in a bad state and complained about EU vs NA MM? Matchmaking is casual, super casual just play it for fun don't let the trolls, smurfs, cheaters, idiot ruin the experience and if you want some proper competition make a real team.

I was never expecting it to be anything like a clan match or PUG even. I expect bad play, bad decisions the inability to cover a position for more than 5 seconds, crappy flashes/smokes, tking, backseat gaming, raging down the mic etc but now its got to the stage of just running in circles in spawn there has to be a limit and the possibly of stopping that from happening. I mean they put in systems to combat tking and cheating why not tweak the vote system or put in punishments for trolls/derankers.

The punishments for being a dooche/trolling etc really do need to be a lot more significant and faster to be implemented. The system in Dota seems to work a bit better.

I think with a bit of money spent on valves part they could clean it up to a point were it isn't such a mess (without having to spend fortunes even), it won't ever be perfect but it can be a lot better. That goes for Dota too.

Came back from my one week ban (as a result of quitting due to trolls). First game back in, I got 4 russians who were all ****ing about.

Played valiently trying to mop up a few kills here and there (even got two aces

)........

As we changed half, they voted to kick me. :confused:

Banned for another 7 days.

Screw this. I've been playing CS since before 1.5 and I'm tired of this. Valve have absolutely ruined the community.

Oh, that makes no sense to me, always assumed that people doing that just left the game running and buggered off while the game was going on, seems very odd to actually sit there watching your screen go round and round. But whatever floats your boat I guess. Yea as soon as they get ow they should get banned. I would guess they were de-ranking their accounts. I just can't be bothered to de rank any of my alt, got one in the most recent sale and was aiming to get it ranked low so I could play with a mate of mine who's a nova 1, but I managed to get a streak of all 12/13 games it took me to get ranked with decent team mates so I would have felt bad if I'd thrown games as they were actually calling and not being idiots so after the first few where I played with just pistols I ended up playing normally and ended up at le. I'm a terrible smurf

i'd ask if you insulted them or smf.
Played with 4 man premade 2 days ago. no coms at all from them(written or spoken). one of them started being smug to me after I failed flash and lost a 1v2 which i probably would have won otherwise. Muted them so I can play my game. Ended winning after all. (2 of them were very good aimers and played aggressively)

next time, if you see someone troll (even from the enemy side) block communication and play. Better to play with no comms at all and tryhard than getting frustrated and lash is out on others. Truth be told if you are THAT good you should promote, if you're at the same rank for 30-50 games, it just means that's your actual rank.

Not being a drama queen. I've been hooked on CS for years now, actually way more than a decade. Never had problems like this before. It's not being a drama queen to complain about the sheer dross that is ruining the game.

When you get a reasonable bunch of lads, there is no game that can touch it. Having offensive russians, trolls and the like is indefensible..

That's the thing, I did exactly what you said. Most people who troll like people getting angry and reacting. I buckled down like I said and just got on with it. The kicking was just a random trolling act from them after we won a few rounds.

I find that very difficult to believe tbh.

Sure I've had plenty of trolling team mates before, but never been 'randomly' kicked.
Also you must be acting abrasively in one manner or another to regularly receive cool downs.

If you go into games with a positive frame of mind, your team mates are likely respond in kind. Even when 4 of us party together and get paired with some noob, as long as they're friendly in game we won't kick them.
