CS:GO Discussion

Does anyone else have a problem with the game crashing? I don't think I have had a game yet that didn't involve the game freezing and then having to restart my pc

Same here Slinkie. :(

Although mine usually just bombs straight back to desktop, it used to lock my PC up in the Beta though requiring a hard reset.

I was thinking the same. With the new name of Global Offensive I was expecting new stuff now just a Mk2 with slightly better graphics and by slightly I mean not 8 years of progress.

Only good thing I noticed is that you dont get the deafening CRASH sound when you bump the cups off the table in cs_office in the projector room.

The "would you like to save your death" screens are annoying and I love how I get achievements for everything.

Hopefully get one for using only 1 sheet of toilet roll after a curry and one for the game not crashing after 40 minutes of gameplay.
 
oh you lot enjoy playing your graphics :) while we enjoy the gameplay.. why is the 1.6 still full of players? must be graphics..
 
Got a couple of rounds in last night and thankfully the default mouse sensitivity is fine, as it should be. I was worried it wouldn't be like Source where the default mouse settings suited me perfectly, but it seems to have been sorted out since the Beta.

First round was good, actually managed to get a kill, and it was with a Glock, burst fire with the Glock feels quite accurate to me. I ended up getting two seemingly very easy kills with the Glock on burst fire mode before my connection to the server went weird. Couldn't move for 20 seconds, then I could run around the map really fast but couldn't kill anyone, then I was randomly dead so I decided to leave it at that.

I'll give it another go today, but I'm really enjoying Sleeping Dogs at the moment so Global Offensive will need to wait a while.

In steam, right click on CS:GO, go to properties.

Under 'set launch options' you need:

+autoexec.cfg

Mine is this, remove "-freq 120" if your monitor isn't 120Hz:

-console -novid -freq 120 +autoexec.cfg -noforcemaccel
