CS:GO Discussion

Sorry I thought it was obvious, look at the lag spikes on the net graph. I have tried loads of different servers and it is the same on all of them.

Does it happen at a certain moment of gameplay or just randomly? Most servers I've been on have lag every so often, but it seems to affect everyone in the game.

I get weirdness sometimes, running forward and it jumps to my position a second ago. Thats with wired connection and nothing else running on my LAN.

Probably niggles.

Also had it boot me out of servers saying the file ___.pak doesnt match the server.

I seems to have found a problem as to why my bullets don't seem to hurt anyone.

Does anyone know how to fix this? My connection is 60mb virgin and wired to my router.

Dont see how Virgin is a problem? Fibre optic cable, consistently rated best for gaming at avforums, been that way for a good long while. Wish they werent so good, i'd move to a cheaper option in a heartbeat, but no, it isnt your isp unless you have a dodgy router.

Personally I think its CS:GO. Ive had some weirdness standing 4 feet from an enemy, plugging away with short bursts from an AK straight to the face. Emptied the mag and nothing. Go back to 1.6 and all is good. I joined a DM server so I could get a feel for the guns, give it a go and youll see weirdness on all sides, about the same as CSS actually and the random headshots. The game is fun dont get me wrong, but I dont know why the big clans have switched to it for competition.
