CS:GO Discussion

So my win10 decided it would like to update itself as I shut down last night even though I did not want it too, just ran CS tonightto have a couple games and it now runs like absolute rubbish.

Seems its quite common but i have tried and checked the following and still no joy

I have disabled the xbox dvr thing
I have turned v sync on and off again
Checked my nvidia settings

And still runs like poop, constant jitters and almost feels like I'm back on 60hz

Anyone else suffering with this?
 
Ace of a different kind!

Solo Que. Toxic game, one BOT from the start, another got kicked by the 3 remainin russians (i muted them after about 5 rounds to stop listening to the shouting and screaming!!)

Anyway - guy killed me defusing in the last round, so I shot him a couple of times at the start of the round. Somehow managed the ace but and then thought what's the point of the defuse as it was 3 v 5 and 10 rounds down!!! Lol Silly one I know but it was funny

You could deffo end up with a 30 day ban for griefing on that, you gotta hope they didn't report you for it as if I overwatched that it would be a 100% conviction.

Just on another note why did you not buy anything? last round and 3500 in the bank?

Never give up with this game, comebacks do happen even if at a disadvantage.
 
Exactly. I know it was folks on here that I was with (not sure who now though) but I can remember going 14-1 down as t's on mirage and then we won every round as ct closing the game out at 16-14.

Mine did the same I was only running 40fps instead of 500 fixed it by switching Rez then back to my normal one have to do it every time I start Thebes's game though which is annoying use the command cl_showfps 1 to check yours
 
The steam overlay has a fps thing built in as well if you want it in game.

The casino bots thing is playing out, see below just mentioning this in case its useful to some.
Anything over 60cents works and you'd get 39 cents bitcoin equivalent. Not sure what steam gives, slightly more. I split mine which is only drops and small bets won anyway, afaik they are on the level with this but I could be wrong.

I agree but they were trying to derank I think. People arent as serious at lower ranks

When I watch my Demo's back the round winning kill usually bugs and skips the actual kill, it happens on all of my 3 accounts even since Fresh OS installs/CS installs/Steam installs.

Anyone else have the same problem or aware of how to fix it?
 
Lounge is closing all betting after all. Even in countries its legal, valve will block them apparently so that is it

Few people have tested and my demo's run fine start to finish for them which I find bizzare! Thanks though, Will give the demo manager a bash tomorrow and will let you know.
 
Do you have any special configs/autoexec that could be preventing the demo playback for you then Gilbert?

On another note After the pro cs break Im actually looking forward to watching some matches again tonight just gotta get work out of the way then kick back and chill!
 
Wow, had about 6 months off, did some casual games for a while and was doing really well so jumped in matchmaking. 10 losses later or something like that then win a round to end up Siver III. FML! haha
 
Ouch what were you before the inactivity? This game punishes so much for that now.
A while ago I stopped playing for about 3 weeks when I was Lem, drew my 1st placement game to get put into mg1! Had to grind my way back theough it all over again!

I was GNM, I've played about 15 matches since returning. Won one. Silver II now.

Can't see how I can even enjoy playing at this level tbh. Think I'm done.
 
I'm a new player, played CS for about two months. Never played any of the other versions, and the last time I got into an online fps like this it was 4v4 Quake 2, in a UK-based league, in 1999 (UKCCL).

I have been playing lots of casual and demolition and I'm quite competent, as in I win more than I lose and I kill more han I die. My aim is good at moments, but still on the unreliable side.

I'm enjoying the game, but to be honest competitive is daunting at the moment. I want to get into it, but from all that I read, solo queuing is not a good idea, however at rank 15 I still have a few to go to be able to use prime.

I also don't know enough people playing the game to be able to play with a group, and the community doesn't seem very accepting of new players anyway.
