Oh that's what happened! Saw the end score of Inferno and watched about 15 mins of the Overpass game (with 4 pauses in that time) and then gave up. Checked the scores later, saw a forfeit and was slightly confused! :D

I had 5 value on the France v Ger game, won my bet but didnt get a payout - just a return of the skins I bet, whut?

sorry for the noob q but how are they ddosing the players?

surely they would need to know their ip addy or something of the sort?
 
Cracking game with Joel Raider and Robbo last night as T on inferno we were losing 13-2. Not a good start I had some issues. Then we lost the pistol round as CT. But then magic happened, didnt let the heads go down and battled our way through, few clutches from everyone (nice 4man then plant from me).and we pulled it back to 15-14 but then lost the last round.
I was really happy with our game on the 2nd half though and if that (random) guy didnt keep getting awped mid we should have won/drawn it.


Edit: It might have been 12-3

was such a close game in the end.
little gutted we lost as the comeback was real and they were giving it the big i am at half time but it was a good result considering how far behind we were.
 
you would have thought they would have found a way around it now. its becoming such a big issue in the tournaments. must put the players right off their games.
 
I heard one of the commentators say that one way to solve it would be to get rid off all skins. Then there is no gambling, and no DDosing. Plus then no players would have 25% better skills from the more expensive skins!

Arguably it is the skins that are most likely the real reason the game has seen so much growth of late, its a double edge sword.

Great game as last alive in that last round I should pulled out the CZ instead in that 1v2 :'(

I think iirc they won pistol round and we won anti eco so it was 13-2 then 14-3 to 15-14

People bet real money on csgo also. I think these people are more likely to ddos then some skins that you can sell but ends up in your steamwallet.

The problem is that so many people play because of skins, or watch games because of bets.

Raider himself has said if he didn't get the dragonlaw drop he probably wouldn't have played as much.

You only need to compare the viewers of games with bets on them and the games without to see how much of an impact removing skins would have on the esport scene.


The amount of smurfs and hackers on mm is becoming really stupid, played 2 games this morning. one game had 5 smurfs in it, at least 2 of those guys getting some really dodgy kills and then the game after, 2 smurfs on the opposite team. YAY MM
 
Many moons ago you could setup a jump+duck key or is this seen as a no no?

How do people overcome this, hit jump and dusk straight after to go to those hard to reach places

Yup agree, the arms deal update with the addition of skins was a massive boost to this game in regards to player count and yes, I am now a sucker for shiny things.

Played against a guy yesterday who went 44-18 (or similar) who was a blatant hacker, one of my frieds spec'd him and said he wasn't even making any attempt to hide the WH's. We still went 15-15 against them
