CS:GO Discussion

Well back to Silver Elite.

Every time I've played with folks from here this last 10 day we've lost because of people either faffing about wondering what site to take until 40 sec remains or constantly the same 1-2 people pushing stupid position, getting murdered then we are a man down and having to either rotate with short notice or try and plug the gap.

The opposing teams haven't even been any good it's just ours has been pathetic. Only games I have won is with playing with 2 friends at the same skill level.

Getting a bit tired of the constant faffing about now there's no wonder I get ****** off on teamspeak. I am far from good but even I know not to push the same position 6 times in a row where the 5 previous times you've had your head took off by an awp...

silvers...silvers everywhere

We are coming for you Joe with our running p90's! :p

As stupid as this may or may not sound I really think when in a 5 man pre made you have to have a set decision maker and stick to it as if you all think your own idea is best then its no better than playing with randoms.

I've got a feeling if I win my next game I will enter into GN. Fingers crossed but won't be on till tomorrow now. Stupid work ruining my fun!

Well got a Gold Nova 4 smurf I am borrowing if anyone wants a hand today. Strats / IGL is always what I've been good at and yes banksy you are correct, it doesn't matter who, but you do always need 1 caller to lead, whether right or wrong someone has to make the calls.

I'm happy to help a few people out today if anyone is up for it (dropped 35 kills earlier using 5-7 / Tec9 only in a GN4 match). I'll let you guys do the work and just try and give tips / clean up the pro90 mess :D

http://steamcommunity.com/id/JSRaider/ for anyone who needs it. I'll be online via chrome all day and can always pop onto the smurf to lend a hand.

What maps do you usually play? I had a smurf in one of my games a few days ago; and even though he didn't do that amazingly well, it was nice to hear some tips and have a good IGL.

so last night i did 1 of 2 things. made a little mistake of around £30 or made a 100k profit.

i traded my Huntsman Slaughter for a FN Flip Doppler + FN AWP Lightning.

but it was me who posted the advert so why i hear you ask.

MW BFK CW + 20k

both around the 200k mark

I've been playing on my smurf account to get me back in to the game. I got my main account to MGII, didn't play for a few months and suddenly found myself struggling to the point where it wasn't enjoyable. I was coming last and not contributing to my team.

I got a new account in the steam sale and got back in to the game by playing Operation Vanguard, it helped me learn the guns once again. Played a couple of competitive games against silvers and found myself winning quite comfortably.

Now, I know I'm a hypocrite. I am playing using a smurf account although for reasons I believe are fair, the number of smurf accounts ruins the game for silvers. If you have 1 smurf from higher levels against 9 silvers, it unbalances the game considerably. The difference in skill is incredible. Silvers tend to give up after 3 rounds, the idiots (normally Russian) start asking to be kicked and then TK each other.

Surely valve have to come up with a better system for the initial ranking? If someone is winning so comfortably consistently then surely they should be bumped up a couple of levels before the 10 game wins?

But I dont like teams that rush, like running down banana. It gives away map advantage mostly.

Depends really, I'm of the opinion that a banana rush can still be an effective eco T round, particularly these days with the TEK9 being so mighty.
If you can take out a guy at top/car you will probably only have one more to deal with. Flash/molly over and you're usually in before any rotation, which is usually smoked off by then anyway.

Inferno needs a bit of work imo. It's still pretty much the base 1.6 map, and the narrow choke points combined with the OP smokes in this game make it a pretty 1-dimensional experience. Personally I think it needs an extra entry method into B.

Oh ****, soz I wasnt paying attention.... Good luck! *white*

I have started checking the scoreboard at the start of rounds now, and not buying after losses.

but you are still getting GL flashed at the start of every round Cookeh.

without fail.

I think for me that makes the most difference. Whilst TwsT is a good player, he is brilliant at moaning at me for doing stupid stuff but not telling me what I did wrong or what not to do.

Playing with Joe a few times has improved my game knowledge if nothing else. Having a strong IGL improves my game a lot for sure, especially one that is able to give pointers on the fly.

Knowing what not to do is a great starting point for improvement even if you don't break the habit immediately.

can confirm raider is pretty useful for co-ordinating :)

and also that is lies rich I spend a lot of time telling you where to look you're just not listening and assuming it's me moaning :P
