CS:GO Discussion

Nope some guy from Holland called infamous.. Mortar2k only donates to people who deserve it and will do good with it.. Summit already makes over 20k a month from subscribers and then more on top with random donations..

Hi guys, I have been looking into my settings of late and have read a lot about rates and the like. Everything I found online about rates goes on about creating a autoexec file, however I already seem to have one and it looks totally different to the ones online, now these guides are very old so im guessing things have changed of late.

Do I need to be messing with the autoexec at all nowadays and if so what should I be looking at?

thanks

Is anyone else experiencing fps drops? I didn't play CS in a bit, I borrowed my account to my cousin. I just had couple games recently and my fps is anything from 80 to 240 jumping like mad, when someone appears on the screen there's a massive lag/fps drop..

Its not my PC that's the problem, as in other games such as BF3 I have 100fps stable.
My spec:
i5 [email protected]
2x4GB 1600Mhz 1.51v
7950@1050/1400 (Tested with 13.12, 14.4 and currently on 14.12)
SSD Intel 520 120GB (That's the drive with OS and CS:GO)

My fps is fine, but I'm getting some strange rubber banding. My ping will raise from 15 up to 70 and sit there unless I close cs go and open it again. Not in every game, but I have seen it a number of times. Seems to have coincided with using that server tool but could just be a coincidence?

motar2k and his *cough Dubai tax dodge scheme no doubt.

edit: scrolled up. Some other tax dodger then :)

How could donating via twitch be a tax dodging scheme?

Basically, autoexec runs when you boot up CSGO. So any additional commands that you wan't to execute, should be put in there.

You could drop the same commands in to your config.cfg if you wanted.

A lot of people tend to just grab one of the pro's configs and go with it. You can try for days on end to find one that works, but I think you maybe just need to stick with one and get used to it.

I even tried playing 1024 x 768 yesterday. I'm not sure if it has any massive impact, but I did find that I was a lot more cautions because my FOV wasn't as big.

Rates are set by servers now so no need to do anything with them. No need to change autoexec unless you want to use some buy binds or other tweaks like bigger radar etc.

Yeah I get this too, I updated audio drivers last night and it seemed to help a lot but still every now and then it drops from 200+ to 60 and feels horrible for 2-3 seconds.

Just pld with a bunch of random on d2 I get abused for carrying the team with a 27-6-9 we lose yet I get the abuse via coms and chat because I wont just rush away from my bomb site to try and frag

had a weird game yesterday on mm , we were getting hammered on cashe by ct and lost 11:4 after a switch was hard but we managed to crawl back to a draw 15:15 .

Add me I'll give you a good autoexec / customise it to your needs. Like any file you get from strangers just check the link with an URL checker (it'll be a mega link or email, up to you) and then ofc run it through virus checker.

ps...Wish I was evil genius and it was a keylogger so I'd be making dem monies instead of being helpful :(

In autoexec you can type commands such as cl_showfps "1" or do binds/scripts, it usually bypasses config binds for the keys you made special binds for in autoexec. It also doesn't change when you change something inside the game, unlike the config file gets overwritten by the game. I've never used it, even in 1.6 I just put 'READ ONLY' on config file, there's no need to use it IMO.

I've done everything tried different drivers, I'm update my Xonar drivers, I use the modded UNi Xonar drivers which never caused me any issues. I never had these fps drops before, my pc should run this game silky smooth on 400-500 stable with my config depending on the map... It no wonder that VOLVO messed it up again...

Some start-up commands which could help a bit, in my case they didn't help.
-novid -high -threads 4 -nod3d9ex -nojoy -noaafonts +mat_queue_mode 2 +mat_vignette_enable 0

Plusnet fibre. It's very sporadic though and doesn't happen in every game.
Don't worry, its not your ISP. I'm on 100mb virgin package and have this same issue with this game, my pings in other games are anything between 8-30ms...

Is this ping normal? :p This is with 'mm_dedicated_server_maxping 50' and 'mm_session_search_ping_limit 50'
