CS:GO Discussion

Not sure if its placebo or not but I forgot how good 128 tick is compared to 66. Was playing a few rounds on one of those "retake"( you practice holding and takeing sites) community servers. Pistol only and the bullet registration was insane.

Added myself to the spreadshèet

I have been getting some small lag in the past few days. It is definitely not ping related, since my ping/loss/choke are all good. The lag is weird. Once every few seconds (between 20s and 1 min) there is a small stutter step, i.e. it doesn't read the command, be it walk forward, change weapon, whatever.
Once possible cause is that my SV value fluctuates a lot. It changes between servers, but it can be between 2-4 on one server and between 9 and 14 on another server. The number doesn't really matter though, since there is the same when sv is 3 or 10. The std. deviation (+-) is always very low, and so is the var value.
I have re-installed the game and stopped all AV software running but I still get the same problem. My FPS is 200 stable (capped at 200) and I have a good enough machine: i7 4770K @ stock speeds, 280x for graphics and a 126GB SSD. FPS should not be an issue (contrary to what I read online).
Does anyone have any potential solutions? Thanks.

This has been happening to 1-2 guys that I play with, haven't been able to work out what the issue is yet..

I have been having that lag a lot as well :(

Just had a game lost first half 5-10 ct on d2 after that a guy started to moan and then went afk his mate refused to kick him :(

Ahh man I knew I should have come on last night!
Watched the esl qualifiers instead. Can't believe Dignatas thew that away, it was on mirage and they started ct and finished 1st half 12-3 and still couldn't close it out.

The used to be one of only a few good teams, the game played quite a bit differently especially meta wise.

edit.. You also got to remember that CSGO really wasn't popular at the start so very few people played it.

Hungover, not up to comp MM but if anyone wants to do a few of those player vs bot missions would be up for it ( Get 15 kills with XYZ with partner)

It's true that NiP transitioned and adjusted across to GO more quickly than other teams.

But as other teams caught up they haven't really changed their style and people have worked them out.

That and the fact that they were pretty much the only "pro" team playing CSGO for about the first 6 months, as all the other guys continued to finish off the remaining 1.6 and few Source tournaments there were still running. Smart move really, since it gave them a lot of exposure and the game is obviously huge now.

Not sure what has happened to my aim as of late. I need to get back on to DM more as I've been missing easy shots that I shouldn't be... I don't even feel out skilled half of the time I lose a trade, I just simply don't connect my shots.

I won't play without spending at least 10 mins on death match. Usually 20-30 mins first to get warmed up.

Spray control is everything in this game atm. Person with the best spray will win in 90% of battles up to medium-long range. Tap firing is now almost pointless unless at long ranges due to the weapon tagging that makes the movement necessary to be able to survive and win engages whilst tap firing impossible. So, practice spray control -> beat everyone.
