CS:GO Discussion

Please don't, everyone and their dog has access to overwatch now and if watching falsely accused noobs that manage to hit 1 head shot the entire game then get reported is your thing, then have fun.

Also "Neither looked like cheaters to me, or certainly neither were totally obvious cheating". Literally most people are tards (not saying you are) when it comes to OW, all you are there for is looking for OBVIOUS cheats, not well hidden ones etc. If they aren't OBVIOUSLY cheating it's an easy verdict. If you think suspect they "might" be cheating it's not good enough, it's evidence beyond reasonable doubt (aka any doubt).

I rarely report but every now and again I know they are cheating I report and usually a few weeks later I get a Someone you reported has been banned.

I'm not on about one off shots though I'm talking repeatedly waiting angles you don't hold to prefire a player who you can not hear.

Out gamed is the term many spring to but there is only so many times you can say yeah that was luck ;)

i would love to know if i've ended up on overwatch haha

That is not much of an issue really, the Overwatch calibration period will weed out those who don't have the ability to spot a blatant hacker vs a good/lucky player and thus their "verdicts" will carry no weight. False positives are so rare from overwatch.

The only issue is people spam reporting everyone for anything and everything resulting in people wasting time watching people who obviously arent cheating.

Well I've had 5 reviews of cases so far.

First 3, nothing utterly obvious, yes some good, lucky shots but nothing that totally stands out.

Last 2 cases - no question they had wall hacks/vision assistance. Pin point shots through smoke on numerous occasions, the crosshair on the screen following people through walls and waiting for them to move, prefiring at the spot they can't see behind boxes etc - it was very obvious. It was 15/18/20 kills like that, not just one.

Your first cases wont be actual "live" cases so to speak, they are test cases to make sure you can actual spot the difference between an obvious hacker, a good player and a 50/50 lucky/semi dodgy person (You should only be convicting those who are 100% blatantly obvious).

I imagine people who report in frequently and get a successful ban will unknowingly hold more weight than spam reporters,

Obviously there will be occasions especially in silver and gold where a smurf will get reported in every game by at least one person and thus they will have to be reviewed.

Fact is even a trained eye would struggle to spot every cheat everytime. Especially with CSGO weapon physics where you can get running jumping hs one time and miss stood still the next. I remember reviewing videos at 2% speed to see if the pixel changed when he faked a shoulder peak, Anything to support a clean shot. Not to mention quite often the person cheating isn't the one being reported too much easier to look discrete if you just toggle for info.

Yeah, overwatch isn't really even designed for those 50/50 cases. It was even 16 tick rate up until some what recently (Now 32 tick) its just impossible to tell in a lot of situations unless its full blown rage hacking.

Exactly, it's a helpful tool but only a part of the arsenal.

I still find it hilarious that people think there is some sort of conspiracy cover up RE flusha and JW

Dunno what you are saying man....Its obvious that all pro's hack and it's just Vulva covering up the vagina of truth.

The Earth is flat, Alien lizards control our politicians and chemtrails are infecting us all with ass cancer...oh yeah and Hitler did 9/11.

On that topic if anyone wants a hilarious B movie to watch, check out "Iron Sky" with Space Nazi's, a modern classic (trailer is bad tho).

Incase anyone is interested I was asked to review 2 cases. Neither looked like cheaters to me, or certainly neither were totally obvious cheating.
It seems to be a good system, first few cases it feeds to new testers are false positives where OW knows they arent cheating. ie. it tests the testers afaik

My first case I did eventually realise by the end he just knew the choke timings and had very good aim. Literally like 3 or 4k every round, waaay out of nova 1 range which was the test i guess

It certainly isn't pointless, its just a part of a weapon not the entire weapon.
Yep Im glad its there, its quite a small minority who actually get OW ban. But an influence beyond that it deters the rage hacks and adds work to those using extra help to play. People do put effort into avoiding OW, I swear theres a training vid they watch

Problem is the same idiots that report everyone 24/7 for getting a single headshot or flank kill also have access to Overwatch. No brain, no understanding of how the game works, and no audio from game comms means people probs get reported or OW banned for no reason.
Report isnt the problem, I think a lot of reports just go in the bin or never amount to an actual OW and some smurfs yea who dont suffer any afaik. I think its weighted at both ends and probably ignores some people or reduces their report to 1/10th of someone who rarely or accurately uses it.
I agree on the wonky logic aspect but thats a human dynamic imo. Why do people bother to continually cheat
apologies for the title, i couldn't find the original

I block them before I actually report to reduce 'noise' it puts them on list for a checker later; last 20 days of bans from games I've played 3 are OW:

some people do make it awfully easy to spot the cheats!!!

The suspect.

8 Round - 30 kills, 1 death, 95% headshot ratio, 5 through smoke shots, numerous through boxes/doors kills etc. it was so obvious as he was pre-aiming at the people, he knew where they were all the time.

Clearly just having a good game.

His gaming sense was tingling.

It's quite pathetic in all honesty, hours, skins and all that **** doesn't matter either, I've seen stacked accounts banned eventually, 2d radar users are everywhere and very hard to spot because they don't pre aim exact positions but they're always aware of roughly where you are.

Had my first few games of CS in almost a year earlier which was fun.

I doubt many if any people use radar hacks and quite frankly once you get to a certain level you know where everyone is 95% of the time anyway unless you're playing against decent teams who play in a way to minimize that.

It's much more likely that they're using wh and just toggling on every now and then.

What a joy it is to have a decent team, some good games and an enjoyable evening for a change.

Me and 2 friends started a game and ended up with another couple of guys who were a good players but more importantly to me, a good laugh. Some mad games, good comebacks and generally a nice nights' gaming for a change last night.

If only it was like this all the time...........

I think some of the comments on overwatch here are overly harsh, I used to regularly review and could easily see the cheaters, normally it was wall hacks where peeps would clearly track people throw walls then voila head shot.

I've not played for a while, when I was last on I was GN3 (I know not great) but logged back in and now ranked S2 and it's terrible again, playing with idiots, not team work, etc

After not playing in atleast 6 months I'm now down at mg2 from smfc and the raging is real. Get called a cheater in every single game :D

Enjoy it, I came home drunk at like 4am this morning, hopped on a smurf and got kicked for hacking by my own team despite them being able to see that I check corners etc etc rather than knowing where people are / looking through walls.

Keep i mind that after winning T pistol they got mad I didn't eco with them to save for AK's.....after...winning...pistol....****** silvers :D

I still stick to faceit but at times it's worse than MM with all the elitists playing, still get the cheaters as well as they don't mind a faceit ban compared to a VAC.

Win/Loss ratio is bang on 50%, Cache is my best map by a mile.

I dont mind playing s2 or whatever rank you are downgraded too, so long as its not super serious. I lost one game between october and March on one particular account, at first not deliberate in fact I set all maps and played comp assault with some russians - they love those maps, aztec and militia too. Then I was seeing how long I could keep it up like hacky sack lol :p
Then I forgot to play it one month and went down 6 ranks opps

add your details or send invite

got kicked for hacking
Dont think Ive ever seen this done, nor done it myself because I dont notice it if they are on my side as Im busy. Theres no incentive to kick randoms (for that reason) because I dont think its a penalty like queuing up a lobby does
