play nicely kids :)

anyways tell me the best way to get 300 horese out a early LCR(210bhp)

i've been told that she wants a remap for valentines day bless

anyone ever had any dealings with star performance

Didn't see this.

300BHP isn't that straight forward, you're going to really want to forge FMIC, as well as a new exhaust and intake.

Take a look at REVO's stage 2 and 3 systems.

I personally wouldn't bother going beyond REVO's standard remap (takes it to 265BHP~).

quite like the look of the revo unit that offers the different modes ala normal/sporty/balls out/valet etc
especially like the anti theft option :) cant get much safer than completely disabling the ecu ;)

going to pick it up as soon as autoglass get their fingers out and come round and reglaze my octy :(

Star performance are very good for VAG stuff. Guy across the road always takes his Octy VRS there. Never heard a bad word said about them.
They are also priced very well, they quoted me a very good price for clutch/flywheel fitting.

well guys glad to report all is well

Octy reglazed and re-equipped and theres now a "yellow" thing on the drive funny thing too it runs on that funny stuff they call petrol, Went in to collect after her MOT to find that the front has been shod in a pair of brand new P-zeros so a big thumbs up to the dealer for not sticking wanlis or other tripe on her :)

unfortunately took us an hour to get back from the dealer with a rather long route home

Wifey loves it although trying to convince her to rev it beyond 4k rpm is proving difficult

pics to follow once i get her out at the weekend and get some nice "arty shots"

I'll even go the whole hovis route(although i get mine for nowt as a mate works for British Bakeries :)

Unfortunately, even though standard issue on the LCR, they are utter turd. First thing I had to do was get rid of those tyres, they are scary poor in the wet, and pretty useless in the dry. :(

Glad all is well other than that though... pics!!!! :D

not rate the P-Zeros then paradigm?

running a nice pair of GSD3's on the rear think it might be a good thing to swops them round?

felt fine on the dry roads we had today up here. although I didnt drive her for long as I had an annoying woman sitting next to me poking me in the ribs saying thats if you've drove her so pull over and hand it back :)

No, I don't rate them at all except for how long they seem to last. Granted, if you aren't going to be driving it with some vigour the I'm sure they will be fine, but changing to GSD3's improved turn-in, reduced understeer, and improved grip in the wet no end.

sounds like the GSD3's will be going on the fronts tommorow :)

thanks for the heads up any other pointers other than dont touch the esp button :)

What! First thing you do when you get in the car is turn the ESP off (unless its stupidly wet conditions)! Feels like a different car with it off, as IMO it kicks in far too early, and affects acceleration!

Watch the lift off oversteer, that rear end is pretty pendulum like ;)

might give it a try tommorow but if the car ends up roof down in a ditch i'm blaming you :)

remember my day involved me driving a skoda octavia Derv mobile 8-12 hours a day :)

RESULT: wifey wants a full Milltek system for our anniversary (its too quiet )

Milltek is a good shout, great exhausts, and highly regarded on the LCR :)

EDIT: LOL at the below post :D

I'll say one thing about torque - my FN2 CTR is infinitely more fun than my MR2 Turbo was, which had considerably more torque and bhp :)

Find that hard to believe.

Oh yeah, you're right, I'm actually lying

No wait, I'm not. The '2 had far more torque, but for drivability and fun the FN2 is much better; about the only thing I preferred about the 2 was 0-60 time (and rear visibility!). I can actually drive the FN2 quicker than I could the 2 on the same route.
