ok this is it far from finished i still need to make 2 small panels for the top front side mesh pieces, fit plexi to the side panel window, fit a momentery switch and make a hard drive mount but i could do without the pc so it is in use at the moment, that and another good coat of clear coat when its all together to give it a nice glass like surface.

There will be more detailed pictures up close and a couple outdoors to give it a real shine effect that you get in person, theres still a lot of work to be done so plenty more updates.
i have a sata dvdrw to get rid of that horrible ide cable but the dvdrw is going to be outside the case, im making a matching custom aluminum external dvdrw case.

im gonna have to get some fan filters for when they are fitted cause this case is gonna be a dust magnet :D
hope yas all like the progress so far

Dude! I wish i had your metal work skills.... not to mention your patience.

I've just cut myself a window for my lian li, and am making a small window applique with the left over aluminium... It's taking ages, so much filing and smoothing, i'm really getting inpatient now.

Damn good work mate, well done!

what file are you using? it was a pain in the arse for me until i got a monster 8" engineers file, it really tears through the ally it is what i used for my side window.
then i just give it aquick going over with a finger file to smooth and level it off and then sand paper 100 grit and then 500 and the edges seem nice.

cheers for the great comments, still loads to do to tidy it up obviously gotta have the blue lights inside :D just gotta do it tastefully.
bulgin button or a custom made aluminum button will be mounted on the downward slope of the aluminum plate at the top of the front either that or the big main plate at the very top.
and hopefully in a couple of months i can get some w/c kit in there to fill it up, im really surprised how small it is for its layout its 380mm high by 440mm deep with a width of 160mm

It was about an inch across, probably antique, and rounded on one side...after using that, i then use some 120 grit sanddpaper to smooth, and some 400grit to finish and round the edges slightly..

thats a nice job there looks pretty sweet. i like those lian li cases there so nice looking and clean edges.
not to much going on yet they manage to be stylish

wihtout a doubt one of the coolest custom build cases i have ever seen, well done mate, looks totally awesome, just need to finish it!
