Custom Loop Order

oh, guess its alright then. Id still get any other pump though just to have a better pump. D5s are weak...
They're not that much weaker. It's a trade off between increased noise and potentially less reliability v 10% more flow. Unless you've got a OTT loop the extra flow isn't going to do anything much for you.

I've been looking at video on YT and they seem quiet enough. I'm only going to be running a CPU, GPU and 2x240 rads in a micro ATX case. There maybe scope for adding another GPU later on.

Weaker, cost more, stupid tops.

Compared to what?

A DCC runs hotter, is noisier, less reliable and has lower flow all for the sake of some extra pressure that 99% of loops won't even need.

A DCP 4.0 is less reliable and has 2/3 of the flow all for the sake of a negligible amount of extra pressure.

And Aquastreams are modded fish tank pumps.

less reliable? lol, and mine is hooked up to a PWM so i cant really hear it...

Not more flow. More head pressure, and its like 50% more...

D5, DDC. that all that's really worth buying

Rofl...

MCP35x is just as quiet and has 50%~ higher pressure, and it comes with a top that doesnt **** you off.

Stupidest post ive seen in a long time...

Unless ofcourse OP is smart and gets a DDC pump.

You slated DDC in favour of the rebranded MCP35x a week ago on another thread?

I can only recommend the D5. Mine has been quiet and rock solid.

Boooo koolance have restyled their fittings :(. They're hexagonal now(well the screw down bit is). Just as sturdy but paintwork leaves a bit to be desired :(.

ok, revisiting this as I'm slowly collecting parts.

I already have:

1x 240mm radiator
1x EK CPU Block
2x GTX Titan EK blocks
6x 16/11 Compression Fittings
1x XPSC Res/Pump Combo

This is what I'm looking at. I'm also wanting to add a drain point:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator GTX-Lite 240 £29.99
1 x EK-FC Bridge DUAL Serial £13.98
1 x Aqua Computer Ball Valve plug/cool £7.99
1 x XSPC LCD Temperature Sensor (Red) V2 + G1/4" Plug Sensor £5.99
1 x XSPC HighFlex Hose 7/16" ID, 5/8" OD, 15.9/11.1mm, 2m, Black £5.99

MCP35x IS a DDC pump.

Personally I prefer the D5 too because I don't want to have to worry about getting airflow to my pump, buying extra heatsink for it and all that.

IMO D5 is the better choice for 95% of loops. If had a loop where you needed something else, you'd already know.

Please avoid those XSPC rotary fitting, all of mine leaked. Some just leaked all the time, other if you moved them very slightly when running.

just got a 90 degree XSPC rotary fitting, brand new from OCUK that leaked on arrival. My 45 degree rotary also made by XSPC was fine though

really any rotary fittings can leak it's just bad luck if they leak on arrival but better now than later on
