*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

I have played nearly 100 hours of this so far. I have progressed the main story line but have also been actively avoiding it for long periods so I can do side missions and things that pop up on the map. I have to say I am still really liking the game, but the longer I play the more certain things frustrate me.

When you try to loot something, a person you have just killed or something on a worktop for instance, if there are a few items in close proximity I can't usually get the right one to pick up. It will get stuck on something I don't want, moving to the side a bit doesn't seem to help, it forces me to pick up the object I don't want just to clear it out of the way for the thing I do want to pick up. Not earth shattering I know, but bloody annoying.

I did the Sinnerman mission. This is the one where you meet Bill Jablonsky and drive with him to kill a guy that murdered his wife, you follow the police van until it stops at a roadblock. Anyway every junction you come up to while following the cop a car or truck just appears out of nowhere to cut you up, or swerves or turns in your path to crash into you. So frustrating again and so not needed. Its like gaming from the 80's where things would just randomly happen.

Every time I drive or ride a bike through a particular part of the map my character gets naked. He then either stands up on the bike or appears on the roof of the car whilst it is driving quite funny to be fair.

As previous people have said I loved the story lines involving Judy. I have just finished her last mission and left her. Will definitely replay the game as female to open up something with her :D

I like the gun play in the game but the blades, although good fun, just feel like mash the mouse button as fast as possible to kill the other person. Talking of guns has anyone got Skippy? Awesome fun and some really cool bits.

Talking of which I have seen many little links in the city to other things. The best one I see was the Punisher symbol in a mission with River.

I've only used blades to get some more perk points. Not my V's cup of tea, despite playing as a close range rampaging solo merc. SMGs for them.

Ah, Skippy. The Cyberpunk cousin of Clippy :) Much less irritating, though. Increasing volume by 66%...

I watched a video about the modes of Skippy. Their dialogue if you initially set them to "Stone Cold Killer" mode and then kill 50 people is priceless. And completely unquotable here.

For some reason, my favourite is Tom's Diner. I think it's probably not intended as a link to the song of the same name, although that was from the early/mid 80s so it would be the right time for the beginning of the Cyberpunk genre.

While looking it up, I found that I had somehow got it mixed up with Lily Was Here, attaching the title to that instead. Which is odd because Tom's Diner has no music (in the original version - a dance music remix of it was made later) and Lily Was Here has no vocals (it's a saxophone and acoustic guitar duet).

You're probably replay it over the years once more at which point you'll have a better card.

I keep seeing this sort of sentiment posted. I know you weren't talking to me but I can categorically tell you there is almost 0% chance I will ever play this game more than once. That is the reality for a lot of people and motivation to wait until games have gone through their initial buggy teething stage and their hardware has had a chance to catch up. Yes I could play now, now, now and jump onto the chic new game everyone is hype about, but by the sounds of things I'd be making my one experience of the game worse. DLC is the same deal - it's rare that I'd go back to a game I already played just due to DLC unless it's a significant overhaul to the entire experience (e.g. XCOM2 WOTC) so me playing it now also means likely missing out on any future DLC

60 hours in and just about wrapped up all side quest content ready to do the final story mission, some of the side missions for me have been more engaging and indepth than the main story ones, they could've added some of these as main story quests to 'pad' the length out. After playing through most of these do get the feeling that content has certainly been altered or cut as some of the quests feel like they should move onto other things but sadly don't.

I've enjoyed my time playing and luckily not ran into any game breaking bugs.

There's a LOT of encounters which are unmarked easter eggs which probably aren't worth the hours to scour the map but might be nice if they were mapped for a guided tour.

It's not game changing but it's interesting to find a scene and notes to read portraying a famous scene from a film or suchlike.

You go down an obscure alley and you find an oldboy scene or out in the desert there's a no country for old men scene.

I definitely get the feeling while playing so much of the game was intended to be interwoven at a far greater depth than it is - you get glimpses at times of the game they envisioned it to be.

I've got a great SMG at the mo, its really low damage but has a few naughty buffs on it, including ctitical an a 30% of setting the target on fire. 3 or four landed bullets max, per target, then I can run to the next target whislt the first one shouts insults at me and burns to death. lol

My ammo worries are over!

If it doesn't make a lasting impression on you, then I'd say it doesn't really matter how you play it. :)

I'm pretty sure burning, bleeding, poison and electric shock damage doesn't kill just takes them out of the fight and knocks them down.

You need to go around anyone who gets knocked down like that and damage them again to change them from knocked down to dead for extra exp, street cred and any bounties

Nah. I can watch them run toward me whilst on fire, looking at thier health bar, then when it drains, they just drop dead in front of me, i can quite often loot them before the dead body hits the floor, lol

The dead/unconscious state seems a bit messed up in the game and sometimes doesn't even work properly not sure why i.e. an attack that should be lethal only renders them knocked down (body still twitching and doesn't flag as dead) and other times what should be non-lethal damage just leaves them very dead with limbs missing, etc.

Electric shock can definitely fatally kill sometimes despite I'm pretty sure saying otherwise in the description but sometimes it is hard to determine what state they are in unless the mission is picky about it.

My game has been stuck on 'wait a day for Nancy's call' for hours now. Tried waiting, tried sleeping, I've played around 4hrs of side missions, nothing.

I've got a few things like that where it says wait a day or wait until X is available, etc. that never seem to progress but not sure if there is some other factor or if bugged - I've not really had them as a priority to pursue yet over other content.
