Wonder if they fixed the in game mirrors? Duke Nukem had fully working mirrors in '96

These patch notes show contempt for their customers tbh

To be fair Duke Nukem era mirrors were only possible really on individual flat planes like a window or an actual mirror - doing real time, accurate, reflections over a whole range of surfaces and angles is a different problem again.

No, the actual mirrors in bathrooms. Don't think having to press a button to look in the mirror is very futuristic, do you?

It doesn't really make sense to implement both older style portal or similar mirrors and a ray traced reflective system (and can cause some issues if both exist in the same scene) - but it would be nice if they actually had fully working ray traced reflections so that mirrors and windows, etc. reflections worked properly.

The mirrors were just a point I picked out of the air. I remember first looking at Vs mirror and thinking this can't be right?

But no, just another baffling low effort plaster over an otherwise immensely detailed world

1.3 has some bits of free DLC along with improvements and bug fixes. The free clothes/car etc are the DLC part. Personally wouldn't call that DLC but hey ho, better than nothing.

What clothes and car? The patch notes had a title referring to DLC and went straight into bugfixes. The only mention of clothes and cars I saw were bugfixes. The former to fix the clothing plans bug and the latter to fix a bug with a car becoming unobtainable. Did I miss something in my quick readthrough of the patch notes?

I think the game was rushed. I know that sounds silly given the development time, but I think it was still quite some way from completion when a release date was announced. As a result, things had to be cut out and stuff cobbled together to fill the gaps as least badly as possible. The level of bugginess on release, unusually bad even by today's standard, was probably a combination of the game being so rushed there wasn't time to fix bugs and the last-minute changes and insertion of cobbled-together stuff slapped together in a hurry.

I mean they are not technically wrong but.

Multiple can mean two....

Various though. Do they mean one?

I really can't see anything in the patch notes other than things they needed to have fixed before the game launched. Also don't see any performance improvement other than DRS.
As for the DLC???? is that the gift now left by Judy after you have boffed her?

Um it's the top section of the notes

  • Johnny Silverhand's Alternative Appearance – can be enabled in Settings in the "Additional Content" tab.
  • Multilayered Syn-Leather Deltajock Jacket, Luminescent Punk Jacket - both available in the stash in V's apartment after receiving a message from Viktor after completing The Ride. They're of Rare/Iconic quality by default, Crafting Specs to craft a higher quality will also be unlocked.
  • Archer Quartz "Bandit" - available as a reward or for purchase (depending on choices made by player) after completing Ghost Town and then receiving a message from Dakota or Rogue. If you haven't received the message, make sure to be in the Badlands area and move further away from Dakota's workshop. Dakota will also need a couple of days to contact you.

No. "including" implies that the one stated was one of a larger number. They probably mean "the CDPR employee who wrote these patch notes didn't have full details but was told that there was more than one." Perhaps they mean "these patch notes were written before it was decided which patches would be included in patch collection 1.3". Or maybe CDPR is still so badly organised that nobody knows what patches were included in the patch collection. They were that badly organised during development of the game.

Woah, mine too has stated updating from GOG.
33.67GB tho....... Let's hope that size counts for something.!

No reason to think that it will. Previous patches have been huge despite just being some bugfixes. Patching for CP2077 seems to be like knocking down a wall and building a new one in order to change the colour of the paint on it.

That isn't a DLC that's just some free random gubbins
Surely they were going to announce an actual content piece?

An ingame outfit and vehicle might have a real world price as high as £15 in today's DLC market. Maybe more with some companies. Bethesda, for example. Or maybe Zenimax - I don't know which company is responsible for the DLC that's for sale from Bethesda. Any change that's downloadable can be called downloadable content while technically not lying. I think it's accurate to say that "DLC" no longer necessarily implies any substantial content. Which can then be sold without (at least legally) reneging on a promise of free DLC.

I was being flippant.

However, that is a joke to be called "DLC"
