Just a load of junk apart from the soundtrack (which we haven't heard yet) and a statue (if you're in to that).

A fool and his money... :D (only messing...i just see no value in it at all).

Controversial opinion, but I don't even think CD Projekt have made a truly great game yet to warrant all this hype, let alone £250 for a special edition.

I like completing games, I like RPGs, but I had force myself to complete Witcher 2 and have had very little inclination to try complete Witcher 3 after getting to Skellige, though my main objections; how boring and corny Geralt is in character and combat style and using terrible American accents in a historical fantasy game making it seem like a cheap episode of Xena the warrior princess, shouldn't be issues this time round I hope. Being able to choose your character and fighting style, FINALLY in a CD Projekt game should be great.

Being brutally honest, I played Kingdom Come Deliverance recently and couldn't help think how much immersive and believable it was than the Witcher 3, but in a similar Eastern European style, obviously a lot less fantasy. To me The Witcher 3 had some great elements but wasn't the sum of its parts, though that's just my opinion, I know a lot of people love it.

I'm going to wait and see, too many games have been hailed the best thing since since slices bread only to be bug infested performance hogs and barely a game.

Some of Witcher 3's elements are absolutely brilliant - atmosphere, world building, the soundtrack, graphics; and the writing wasn't too bad either, better than most games and with plenty of interesting choices/developments to all the quests. Unfortunately the combat & character progression was shot to hell and was at best described as mediocre, and that really held it back as a game. Together with a bunch of bugs, broken pathfinding, and half the traits not even working, it was definitely weak in that regard.

I don't think CP2077 will be a huge improvement gameplay-wise, unfortunately. Everything out of CDPR points to that and they're very proud of how they put story & narrative first rather than gameplay. Looking at the leaked footage & it doesn't look like there's much there to paint a different picture either. In the end, it doesn't matter too much because for all their faults they're still unique and very compelling games, and when you look at the competition it's not like there's someone else doing it better.

Looking at Thronebreaker, I think that's my favourite CDPR game even though the battles are a slog & the puzzles are only kinda interesting (and only once), but it shows that with a bit of work CDPR could actually make a great cRPG if they wanted to. I don't think they would, they're all after huge sales numbers & big blockbuster hits but it's fun to imagine.

I'm not really worried about CP2077, but I do think whatever big game they do next is not gonna be up to that standard anymore. The temptation to dilute the experience & widen the audience will be too great and they'll be happy to cash those cheques.

Had some spare funds (Thomas Cook refund and Amex cashback), so I've ordered the special edition from Game

It's the first time I've ever spent this much on a game or pre-ordered - but I've been looking forward to it since it was first announced.

I've loved the Cyberpunk genre ever since Shadowrun on the SNES.

Caveat emptor.

Ah man that is freaking hilarious. Except if you were the person who bought it, I guess.

It does actually look like the NPCs from ES:Oblivion

Meh, as I said, I've had a good year and very rarely treat myself (4 kids, one about to start Uni, make sure I've usually got an empty wallet).

If it does turn out to be a load of pap, then i'll chuck it on Ebay - although the last Special Edition game I bought (Fallout 3 lunchbox edition on PS3) sold for five times what I paid...
I like collecting things like this - I have a few Hot Toys (Marvel bits, a Bat Pod, Tumbler and a couple of special edition Terminator skulls), which I'll display in the Man Cave when the extension's finished. Going by Ebay prices, there's enough value in them to pay for the extension, let alone decorate it...
