*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

So turns out the random CTDs I was seeing turned out to be my save being corrupted. Started a new save as Nomad now and all's good. Shame but this save has been ongoing for 150 hours so bound to have accumulated guff over a bunch of game patches etc.

Also, tried out motion control which is cool but shame this controller only supports it over bluetooth which is 125Hz polling and has some motion jitter which is annoying. Would be cool for driving and fps camera look though if I come across a controller that supports it over 2.4GHz wireless instead. Also would be cool if the game natively supported motion gestures which could be used to map say dash or cyberware commands. The motion support in this game is only possible by enabling Steam Input then setting gyro mode as mouse which replicates mouse camera look.

MX Keys has great key travel feedback and I like it most for that but also because of multi device use as I use it across other platforms too. Definitely comfortable. I had Corsair RGB before as well as Ducky One series TKL both of which had Cherry MX Reds. I prefer the MX Keys for typing comfort.

I captured the game at 120fps + HDR using the new Nvidia App (GFE + NVCP replacement). Needless to say, this is a game changer for YouTube playback of high framerate gaming footage. YT supports 120fps playback, just select the 60fps mode at whatever quality and YT will play at source file's framerate.
Interesting! I remember how great it was when YT went to 60fps :D

Only had a quick look at your vid and manually setting it to 4k60. The in-player stats don't show 120fps for me, do they for you?

Hmm interesting spot, I just checked that out and the stats for nerds bit says 60fps too even though youtube themselves say it will play at source fps which is 120 and the motion I see resembles smoother motion than what was 60fps previously so I don't actually know how what's up with that lol. The video certainly is smoother than previous videos, but the stats say 60fps on youtube even though youtube themselves say high framerate is supported.

im seriously addicted to this game now, 90% of my gaming time is going on this and with my 100 mods its absolutely stunning and 99% stable, had a CTD yesterday in Jig Jig street but i think that may have been vram related, volumetric fog seems to be a killer.

Are there any graphic options that enable a 30fps limit? I know I should be running between 50 and 60fps but I think I've selected an option that has placed a hard limit of 30fps. Frame limiting is not on

What kind of controller is that? Ever since I played goldeneye on the N64 I've been useless at fps games with controllers but being able to use the gyro might just solve that... it'll be great for free look in flight games too

That's the PB Tails Crush controller, I had it sent for review:

I also have the 8bitdo Ultimate 2.4/Bluetooth which I ordered for myself and is coming this evening. Both have hall effect controls so no stick drift or wear. The 8bitdo has some more features and customisation though so that will probably be my go-to for niche gaming like this. I'll use the gyros when driving in fps view to look around

It is. Why would it cause a fix of 30fps on a 120hz panel? Just curious! I'll see if turning V-sync off makes a difference when I get home

Well, if you can't hit /exceed 60 fps, Vsync will end up capping your display to 30 fps.

The general rule of thumb with Vsync is if your consistent frame rate is below your monitor's refresh rate, then it's advisable to turn VSync off. If your frame rate is above your monitors refresh rate, turn it on.

Since your monitor is 120 Hz you shouldn't be turning Vsync on unless you have system capable of exceeding 120 fps.
