*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Installed game from scratch, reinstalling my essential mods. Can't find one I remember having

Anybody know the name of mod that removes triplicate reflections from UI elements?

Given that this announcement is buried deep with the "Anime" thread on the TV/Film section (it doesn't have its own thread there) and yet its not mentioned here, I though I'd post that Netflix has announced its next CP2077 animated series is due "sometime soon" but with few other details so far.

Super frustrated at the moment as the Corpo Assassin build I’d been working my way through turns out to be unachievable, both in terms of how many perks were needed and cyberware capacity shards being harder to find than honest politicians.

I am trying for the umpteenth time to try and get through another playthrough of this up to the phantom liberty because I don't just want to jump straight into it.
Saw the two mods that MRK recommended and I don't know if it was just the area I was in or what but it made the game look objectively worse and I know from the screenshots it shouldn't so rather than try figure it out because there were so many mods to install and stuff to get to it I decided just to go vanilla.

Edit. Well I will have to install that preem optics mod to stop the light transitions being so slow.
Also, the game is much nicer to play on the easy smx controller as opposed to the dual sense.
@mrk I emailed PB Tails because I was concerned that nothing was happening and they said it should hopefully be with me around the 25th.

Just completed my 3rd play through - Female Corpo V as a Corpo Assassin (Quickhacks/Silenced Range Weapons character, though it did descend into tactical dress-up for a bit once I discovered modding.

Despite having several games queued up, I enjoy Night City so much that I might start another modded play through with a Male V again.

The big question is what type of build to go for.

Have played stealth pistolero with Sandevistan, Netgunner (Quickhacks + Smartweapons) and Corpo Assassin (above) and am stumped as what to go for as I have zero desire to play as a melee character.

Suggestions?

Assault rifle or shotgun with lots of cyberware but no Sandi or 'deck

Interesting idea, that would certainly make this tougher.
Not sure I want things tougher. Keep challenge level the same, open up new fun ways to kill stuff.
There was a mod that rewarded stealth and no casualties, but stealth only was way too boring and some missions were a pain. Takes fun out

I play the game with mods to make it harder and even so the assault rifle build is surprisingly strong and a lot of fun as there are no cooldownns/RAM holding you back

That is the one problem with this game it was just to easy at the highest setting and you need to handy cap yourself.

As per the launch game I actually kind of liked that you could progressively develop very strong builds, too many games handicap you from developing anything too powerful instead of building in the later game challenge from increasing how clever the enemy are rather than how much damage they can sponge and/or deal and/or strength of technical or power abilities.

I find the AI in most games really boring - it won't mean much to anyone who isn't familiar with the original AI but I modded the Quake 2 AI to be more interesting, moving around more, not rushing the player unless they think they have the advantage, using corners, etc.
and what would probably boggle a lot of game programmer's minds is that it hardly uses any "AI" programming to accomplish, albeit it is a poor substitute and quite rough for what I could do implementing proper AI rather than just tweaking 25-30 year old code. I'd much prefer games scaled difficulty through those kind of changes.
