Cyberpunk 2077

I’ve been having a blast, 3:30hours in and only a couple of odd glitches like a door not opening to see the ripperdoc and one enemy falling over face first and lying on the floor for me to kill him :D

edit: Forgot I had a couple of pauses mid combat and had to wait a few seconds for the action to catch up.

Oh and there’s a lot here systems wise, it’s a little overwhelming but I’ve still got my head above water.

Do you lot turn motion blur off?

Also those that have been playing on series x, what you finding the best performance or quality mode.

Yes, first thing I turned off, as well as most options in that menu. I hate that stuff.

Performance mode looks absolutely horrific on a 4k display...it must be well below 1080p. I tried it for a few minutes on my CX....nope nope nope. Quality mode it is.

Horrifc? It looks OK on my C9, far from horrifc.

I imagine they were only given PC code because a lot of these outlets will have top end to play it on so will get a totally different experience to console players.

They also wont see the myriad of bugs. I'd imagine reviews would be awful if they were given PS4 Pro codes to review.

It’s a decent game it’s just not finished. It was not ready for launch but I imagine delaying it again would have caused chaos. No idea what has happened to the launch day patch ? Apparently a patch was meant to be out this morning but nothing yet...

I just had a body stuck in a doorway and I was unable to move it or open the door. Only thing I could do was reload a save.

So the day one patch isn’t the patch we downloaded?

Just finished playing after 7 hours lol.

Got into act 2 and I’m really really enjoying it, just been driving around taking care of random events and dishing our justice.

One error I’ve made though is getting the perk that auto scraps junk...wasted no end of cash because of this, thought I’d link up jewellery that was worth $750+ to sell to only find it’s been scrapped :(

Whilst I am absolutely loving the game itself I do agree with people on the fact of CDPR need to be called out on the state of the game for PS4/Xbox one and just the base state of the game (AI wise) I read a good post on Reddit last that talked about the traffic and pedestrians, I’ve just done a few side quests and the main quests but if you look to closely at the city it all just falls apart, there’s nothing there.

There is no depth to the city, I had a gun fight with some people and I turned the corner after killing them and everyone was just crouched on the floor it was quite funny.

Hopefully a lot changes over the course of the next year to really bring the city to life because i do think it’s a wonderful city, I love walking around it and seeing everything, it just needs lots more polish and dev time.

Whilst I do agree with that there is also the issue that some gamers are just utter pr*cks which results in the situation we had earlier this year where the devs of this game were sent death threats just because the game got delayed for a few months. Clearly this game should have been delayed for another 6 months or so but if that would have happened the devs would have suffered all manners of abuse.

not just that but the reputational damage would have been massive too

And there is the issue. They had a choice of delaying it or releasing it when it's clearly not finished. Either choice leads to grief from entitled gamer babies.

I wasn’t talking about the gamers, I was talking about the fiscal impact and share price

Yep, for sure but I'm not sure how they're going to deal with the fallout from the issues on PS4 and Xbox One S. I understand it's been in development for a long time but seeing what Rockstar achieved with RDR2 makes it inexcusable that it looks and runs as badly as it does on those platforms, regardless of their age. The PC argument is moot because they release required and minimum specs for a PC so you set your expectations based on your hardware. The fact is that you buy the game for consile and it has an Xbox One or a PS4 label and you expect it would run at 30fps and still look pretty decent. Not the blurred messy slideshow that people are getting.

From some posts on Reddit I've also seen that the new patch yesterday hasn't fixed issues people are having on the PS4, and has actually broken the Steam version for many. It's absolutely dire and I don't know how they'll restore themselves after this. It would be a different story if the patch yesterday had sorted things out because they'd missed some major fixes in the launch day patch or they didn't make it through QA in time for launch. That's not the case here though. It's just blow after blow.

theyll handle it exactly like R* did with GTA V, they’ll say some updates/features will only come to PC/XSX/S and PS5.

Not sure if this is a dig at R*
GTA V...... PS3/x360,PS4/xbone,PS5/series and PC.
Released and supported on all of them and due another feature update for the new consoles and PC all in less time than it took CD to make this POS.

no, it’s not a dig at all, I am saying that just like R* did with the 360/PS3 (dropping updates for that game) is more than likely what CDPR will do here. I am surprised you thought I was giving R* a dig there.

The life oath choices are one of the biggest shams in the game from what I’ve read, it literally makes no difference other than a few dialogue options when talking to people.

Looks like I just encountered a bug that stop me progressing further. Turrets that I'm suppose to destroy take no damage so I'm stuck in a loop.

Tried restarted the level, no joy. Only options seems to start a new game...no chance in hell I'm spending another 4hr+ to see if I get the same bug. First time ever in my gaming history this has happened.

Ouch, mine glitches here too, but I managed to kill everything and there was a gun on the floor highlighted in red so just unloaded a few rounds into it and thankfully it triggered the next sequence
