Cyberpunk 2077

Well I am still enjoying it. Still not done any of the story though, just wandering around doing the crime locations. :D (Which may have limited my exposure to all the bugs to be honest).

On base consoles it's a disaster, in next gen it's the odd crash. As for bugs, can't say I've seen anything that bad I haven't seen on other games (looking at you Bethesda), I've yet to finish a DLC for Skyrim because of a game breaking bug that prevents you from progressing, even though I was playing it on console many many years after the original launch. Fallout 76....the bugs on that were and are insane so let's not pretend it's the only game with a **** launch.

I guess we'll have to wait for the inside story on what went wrong. Maybe it's like a lot of these so called long development games, 6 years dithering about with no one in management making the required call and 2 years of mad rush, ala Anthem.

I saw this on Reddit. :p

I saw this on Reddit. :p

I've watched a few videos of a guy on Youtube who had an early copy and tried to warn people ahead of release and some refused to believe and even attacked him, mainstream media has become so powerful people just can't comprehend they are being deceived/lied to.

Initially I had fun, despite the numerous issues, until the open world began and I played it sober after the weekend. It completely fell apart. I've even put effort in to see if things got better. They didn't and I value my gaming time too much to suffer any more.

If I was in my late teens and had followed this, got hyped and bought on release I'd be absolutely gutted. I feel sorry for any young one and their parents receiving this for Christmas :(

Can you not post without having a misguided dig at so called MSM. :D

Can only assume xbox will follow suit soon as base xbox is worse than ps4

Very unlikely given MS are actively involved in a lot of the marketing for the game.

I'm returning my copy to Amazon, only played it for two days out of the last week and while I was initially going to wait for a few updates, the way it's all played out has totally soured the game for me. I didn't buy a PS5 to play broken PS4 games, I'll wait for the full PS5 release.

Hitman 3 can get my £50 instead, IOI deserve it far more at this point.

Glad I got a refund on xbox, as someone mentioned my valued gaming time is limited, and spending hard earned cash on a broken game is not something I want to do.
People saying its fine on next gen consoles, it isn't, its got bugs, graphical glitches, broken HDR. If everyone voted with their wallet and got a refund we perhaps wouldn't get game launch disasters like this in the future, but a lot of gamers seem happy to play games in this state.

Good move by Sony to pull it.

Sony has done the right thing imo.

Do you mean pulling it or the refunds? Microsoft already allow refunds so they don't have to do much there.

I guess they could pull it from the MS store like Sony though.

I think there's a really good game in there, and given a few months it'll be back and excellent. Clearly the pressure just became too great to release rather than delay again, and that was a huge mistake

Young ones really shouldn’t be getting this for Xmas!

So following on from the positive initial early reviews I'd asked my partner to buy me CP2077 on PS4 (physical copy) as an Xmas present so I can play it on my PS5.

Is it still worth getting or do you think I should ask them to get me something else instead?

Bet Keanu Reeves is regretting being associated with this mess now. I'm surprised it wasn't tested more before release, Microsoft has been pushing this title so hard you'd think that they would have checked that it worked well on their consoles.

I would suggest waiting for the PS5 version. By that time it'll look better, perform better, play better and be cheaper too. Right now all you're doing is paying the highest price for the worst possible version of the game.

It's totally worth it on next gen, just not the prior, because it's broken. For now it's one or two crashes per few hours of play, but otherwise fine. Sure, if you're a casual gamer then wait a year or two for the GOTY edition.

Anyone with next gen or PC i would recommend playing it. Don't expect I'll play it again anyway, same for The Witcher 3, I have zero enthusiasm for touching it again.

I don't expect HDR to be fixed wasn't on RDR2. In my experience few games have true HDR, based on actual analysis, as I get the feeling it's baked into the engine. AI I expect to stay largely the same outside of specific encounters. Fundamentally what you see is what the game is, bar a few UI changes and cosmetic stuff.

Also this stuff about PS5 versions. Look at Watch Dogs 3 and Miles Morales, you'll end up with some minor ray tracing at 30fps or 60fps option. Every review & person I know opted for 60fps. Right now the game feels smooth to me, already feels 60fps but then could be my TV interting frames whilst in game mode.

Either way it's miles better than any PS4 game I played, fps wise, no way in hell I want 30fps again, with bells & whistles added on. I don't think we'll see 60fps with proper next gen graphics for a good year or two, once devs move on. I hope we just don't end up with 8 years of 30vs60 fps in-game menu choices, that would be really lame. It would just admit the console cannot do 60fps @4K with low res ray tracing.
