Cycling

Back on topic, I'm loving the onboard cameras here! It's good to see the various youtube videos from the onboards of the TdF and things - it's good to have it live during the race though.

It;s like recording yourself on the turbo with those faces :D

Yeah. Ouch. :(

Crashing on a cycle at speed is not a nice thing where ever it is, but that wasn't quite as nasty as the Dutch woman's crash in the road race.

Listening to Chris talk about splinters, riders crashing and getting those larger nasty splinters made me wince. I certainly won't be going looking for Youtube videos of those.

Gold rush Thursday hopefully! Now onto the rugby. Gb looking good for a good few golds on the track over the next few days and those performances tonight will only boost the rest of the team.

I'm looking forward to the track cycling. I'd love to see Laura Trott become the first GB woman to win 3 Olympic golds.

Nooooo.... the women's team pursuit rounds/final isn't on until tomorrow and it looks like horsey prancer Charlotte DuJardin competing today could beat Laura to it. :p

A brilliant performance by the men's sprint team to peak at exactly the right time. It's amazing to think that Jason Kenny could tie Sir Chris Hoy for most gold medals for a GB athlete at these games and he's arguably not even the best cyclist in his household. :D

I'm hoping that the team pursuitists build on their good qualifying performances in the finals.

Jason Kenny is already one of our greatest Olympians yet he does an amazing job of flying under the radar for most people. If he wins the individual sprint and keirin to equal Sir Chris, he won't be able to hide in the shadows for much longer. :p
