Yes imho.
Isn't it illegal? I always thought they should be single file when on the road
Poster posts a pointless 'thread' title, just to rant?

You should
keep both hands on the handlebars except when signalling or changing gear
keep both feet on the pedals
never ride more than two abreast, and ride in single file on narrow or busy roads and when riding round bends
not ride close behind another vehicle
not carry anything which will affect your balance or may get tangled up with your wheels or chain
be considerate of other road users, particularly blind and partially sighted pedestrians. Let them know you are there when necessary, for example, by ringing your bell if you have one. It is recommended that a bell be fitted.
We can drive down the centre of the lane if we determine it to narrow for a car to safely overtake or when we feel it's safer for us such as at a round about when you want cars to clearly see and know which way you are heading.Isn't it illegal? we signed that conventionThe 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic of the United Nations considers a bicycle to be a vehicle, and a person controlling a bicycle (whether actually riding or not) is considered an operator.

Let's do this.

cars do not have right of way over cycles we are considered vehicles on the road the same as cars etc
they do it all over surrey - utter £$%^s. I'm as much a cyclist as I am car user but find the increasing levels of arrogance displayed by cyclists pretty infuriating.
Maybe they weren't aware you were there if you had beeped your horn just a little from a safe distance they would likely have gave you room. It's particularly annoying on small country lanes. I followed a pair of cyclists the other day, two abreast, for 3 or 4 miles at 15 mph before they eventually let me pass.
I have every right to drive down the centre of a lane and block traffic from over taking me as long as I'm not going so slow that a car would be pulled over for dangerous driving. (not that I do this I realise in any collision regardless of fault I'm the one likely to die so I show other vehicles the respect they deserve and hope to receive the same treatment in return)
for all intents and purposes cycles are considered to be a vehicle the same as you.
