Cyprus

Why would you want to go clubbing I'll never understand that - I keep well away from such places! I go on holiday to relax! ;)

It is hot, though at the moment it's the perfect temperature. June, July and August does get quite roasting, hitting temps over 40 at times. Even for me that's a little stifling, hence why I tend to go late August.

All I remember of Nicosia was having some nice kebabs whilst looking over the green line. It was rather a long way to go for a day trip from Pafos. :D
 
I went a few years ago I remember going on a boat trip up to Famagusta where we could see the military line. Its very interesting that it sits untouched would love to be able to go closer!

But then I jumped off a huge rock and dived pretty deep an damaged something in my ear and spent a week in hospital where it was nearly 40ish with no AC. I'll never forget those two weeks!

we were in the Nissi Beach hotel which is on Nissi Beach afaik :)

Why? Easy answer... Because they are full of un-inhibited women looking to party, and meeting a companion for the night is easier than ordering a big mac at a McDonalds...

That is of course if you are young enough to still be into that kind of thing.
 
Oh I understand the reasons, but going to Cyprus to spend all night in a box isn't my idea of fun. But I have a different outlook on Cyprus to tourists I guess.

Hey its been a few yrs for me, and quite frankly i can't imagine how i ever managed it back then, given there's only 24hrs per day.. but daytime was always for relaxing / recovering / visiting new places via 4x4 or bike and eve was for partying and having some of the best nights of my life.. I just recall always being on a buzz, loving every living moment of being on holiday. It was always a comedown to get back home.
 
Same here FF.

I have never been into such holidays. When I go abroad, I want to sample their language, their food and their culture.

If I want to get plastered, have a fight or two or cap off with a drunken British lass who will be buried in a Y shaped coffin and leave your parts honking like a dairy farmer's boot then I can stay in the UK and do that.

Never done it, the only reason I can see for it is cheap booze and a bit more sex otherwise it's just like staying back home and going out every night.

No reason why you can't combine the both? You are only young once. And if you think it's not fun, then you are very much mistaken.. cos it's the best fun one can have if you are at the age.. I was never exclusively into a clubbing type holiday. But if its there then take it... Cos it just doesn't exist in England or what does exist is nowhere near the same fun as a fun filled, everyone getting along, great atmosphere, and the women being so unhibited, type atmosphere, night after night, pver there or many other Greek Island getaways.

I will admit last time i went was 10yrs ago and even then i was getting too old for it and never went back.. so i guess it does depend what age you are to appreciate it.. Late teens or early twenties, that is the golden spot.

Don't get me wrong doc, I don't have a go at those who want to play the Heff when they go abroad but it just doesn't appeal to me.
 
Indeed, I spent many years travelling around the world having fun, but going away for 2 weeks specifically to get drunk and get laid just does absolutely nothing for me.

I prefer crawling around where most of the tourists don't go.

I once got sunburnt on the first day of a Pafos holiday and spent the next five days driving around exploring the western half of the island. It’s really lovely in late spring.

We stayed in Coral Bay and hired a car for a couple of days, we drove to the Waterfall - you should do that its beautiful and lots of fun!

I also went tomb raiding a la Lara Croft stylee ;) where Leon made us eat prickly cacti.
