i wouldnt have minded if it was me cutting up people in the wrong lane on the roundabout, but it was him ....

People always do this to me !

They need to use the inside lane of the rounabout, but they use the outside lane instead...

Then you both want to come off at the same exit and you have to make sure not to go crashing into the side of them.

EDIT : Like this at the market drayton roundabout, next to the cattle market.

The turn i want is past 12 oclock from the direction i'm coming from, so i'm in the correct lane ( Thats how i was taught )

Happens a lot.

I was entering a 60 road the other day at about 35-40 & 1/4 into the road was this oap hobbling across. I slammed my brakes as she wasn't going to stop. She stopped, told me to slow down an hurled some abuse, so I told her that she was silly crossing a national speed limit road.

And drove off.

Somepeople are unreal.

i thought pedestrians always have the right of way in this country. Sounds like the op was at fault, especially for honking his horn, could have been fined afaik for this?
Yep people have been fined for doing that. The OP learned a lesson there I hope - if you horn someone whether they are on foot or in another vehicle, be prepared for an angry or violent response.

Don't be ridiculous, I have the right to use the horn when I think it needs using within the confines of the Highway Act, I will not modify my behaviour to accommodate some low-life scum that was brought up in a ghetto. I have my rights, and I shall exercise them to the right.

Next guy that goes psycho will get psycho back. I won't cave in to the cave people.

I'm looking forward to seeing how far you get with driving with that attitude.

What attitude  I have the right to use the roads within the confines of the law, which I do. Unlike some other people here I don't brag about breaking speed limits, what about their attitude?

Driving sensibly but making full use of my rights are not mutually exclusive.

That attitude. You can only do that for so long until someone stabs you in the neck with a screwdriver :p

Whilst technically I agree with you, on that roundabout it looks like there is only 1 lane entering the roundabout and 1 lane going around it. I wouldn't try and 'overtake' around the roundabout there. Perhaps I'm wrong, as you may of drawn over the lines.

I do see what you mean though. If a driver hanged left and went 'wide' around it, they'd look like they are going to turn off, then when they continue round its very frustrating.

92: The horn. Use only while your vehicle is moving and you need to warn other road users of your presence. Never sound your horn aggressively. You MUST NOT use your horn
while stationary on the road
when driving in a built up area between the hours of 11.30 pm and 7.00 am
except when another vehicle poses a danger.

I was on the move, I was not sure I could stop in time, the way he jumped on the road indicated to me he was not aware of my presence. I did not sit there honking like a madman.

The way you used your horn was not consistent with the highway code. Aren't you a new driver? Maybe you should drop the attitude that you think you know it all and listen to some of the advice here from those with more experience ;)

But yes, please keep sounding your horn and being aggressive with other road users, and post back here with the results :D

I passed last year April 24th (woohoo i know the date) and i was taught it, started learning on my birthday the 27th of February and passed first time.

It may be a new thing but the people that do it and know it seem to pass first time around here.

Its just the same stuff all drivers do. You just have a name for it.

I'm quite sure it has nothing to do with whether you pass or not.

Are you going to tell us what it is then? :p Oh and it seems like you just have a name for it whereas everyone else just does it, cos i passed first time without hearing the name.
