Dark day for PC gaming... well gaming in general :(

Sad news and something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy and Total Biscuit is a great guy. Hopefully there will be a miracle for this decent chap.

Love the guy or hate him empathy is something which we can all have. Your a very lucky person if cancer hasnt affected your life or that of your friends, really hope hes one of the people who manages to fight it for as long as possible.

Love the content which he produces and have followed him for a long time, gutted would be an understatement. F cancer and best wished to him and his family, stay strong fella

This is how I feel about the whole situation.

I really hope he can pull through this.

Ive watched a lot of his videos over the years. Hes very talented and this is sad news :(

Life is **** at times.

Real shame this :(

Absolutely love his content - one of only 3 channels I regularly watch (and one of those, Angry Joe, rarely puts out decent content any more) - and it's so sad for his family. Has a wife and son.

If I could have any wish it would be a cure for this horrible disease, affects pretty much everyone at some point in their lives. I really hope he can hold on as long as possible.

From the sound of that quote, we're talking about bowel cancer as the primary.

It is a form I think that can hit the very young. It is also very aggressive, and doesn't tend to be caught until it has already metastasised - at which point, as he's said, there are very limited options for treatment beyond bombarding the area with toxins.

His attitude is exactly right though, and you never know what's around the corner. He should be keeping an eye out on patient forums, and badgering his medical team, to make sure that he's aware of clinical trials he might be able to get a place on.

Good luck to him.

there was a thing on TV recently about a guy who had inoperable (I think it was prostate) cancer, and his doctor suggested, as a last hope, to try broccoli soup every day, and it worked, as I understand it there are now a load of trials / research in to sulforaphane

Really sad to hear this, really enjoy his stuff. He is an articulate, passionate PC gamer using his platform to try and improve the lot of PC gamers.
Seems like a really good guy and my prayers are with him :(

Thought the dude had beaten cancer, terrible news. His 2-3 year prognosis isn't entirely accurate I don't think, that's more for older, weaker patients. He will hopefully live a lot longer and fingers crossed a miracle or cure happens.

a lot of people, especially on Reddit are calling 'karma' from his comments to another person a while back, telling them to 'get cancer and die' or something, but c'mon, nobody deserves this.

If that's how they think Karma works, then perhaps they should ponder on how it comes back on people taking glee in, or otherwise refusing empathy for, someone receiving such restitution.

Damn, I had hoped he'd beaten it but it seems not. :(

He admitted that he pretty much ignored the symptoms and put off going to the doctor for almost a year and now it looks like he's paying the price.
Hopefully he can keep it at bay long enough for a new treatment to become available - my fingers are crossed.

My thoughts to TB and his family.

Such a shame. I have never been a hardcore fan of his but I have enjoyed the videos I have watched of his.

Hopefully there's something out there to help.
