Dark matter discovered

yes due to gravitation, so the debris from the big bang wasn't spread out all over the shop, but clumped together. As far as I am aware it had nothing to do with the big bang or what caused it. so how would it now suddenly cause a 2nd big bang.

what mechanism or even theory links dark matter to the creation of a big bang.

And what proof do you have?

And what proof do you have?

Current big bang theories. Again why would it cause a big bang  why did you think it could cause a big bang? if current theorys are correct 90% of the universes mass is dark matter anyway.

why are you asking for proof, why aren't you saying why you think it is even possible or why you think that.

No, but it is completely possible. I am just making a point. They reackon it could have happened countless times. I am just saying do not discount it.

but it doesnt take into the account the speed of expansion is speeding up, and at what point does it stop.
Think about this in trllions of years the distances between galaxies would be greater than now, the energy required to travel in a line would be huge, so out comes the idea of folding space and time.

Not very Community spirited is it. :(

For me Dark Matter is an Interesting topic, I hope some knowledgeable chaps post there views/comments.

I'm not knowledgeable. However dark matter is theorised because there is to much gravity compared to visible mass. To get the gravitation that we have observed 90% more masses is needed. Hence dark matter was theorised. No theory as far as I'm aware has dark matter as a reason or part of the creation of a big bang. So the statement will this cause another big bang is very odd indeed.

To get you used to the idea that sometimes you can't prove it yet, same as many other topics around Conspiracy theory.

Dark matter exists, wonderful.

It also makes up a very large percentage of the universe.

If a particle of it could cause a big bang we would have been completely wiped from existance billions of times already.

Dark Matter = Not part of the cause of a Big Bang.

 there's lots of things I know can't be proven. Most of science for a start.

But there is collaborating evidence, something conspiracy theorist don't have.

I Love things that can't be proven by the Greatest minds alive.
Theories are Superb but just that "Theories" I Love it. :D

Crap I can't even spell theories right :(

Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Ninjaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (to slow at that an all, Must have been dark matter interfering)

No I don't think it will cause a big bang.

ok put it this way dark matter is what hold the galaxies together, via gravitational galactic rotation if we mess with this who says it can't alter its formation to a increase push or pull effect.
For example the theories of muilt big bangs expansion then a sudden contraction then an exposion and expansion.

And how do you propose we "mess" with it? What do you define as "messing" with it?

This stuff is subject to every force possible in the universe, the extremes of hot, cold and preasure, it has been around for longer than our planet, let alone our galaxy and you think that us puny life forms can "mess with it" to an extent that we could cause it to change its very physical laws? Not only that but this is a single particle, do you think our "messing" would destabalise every particle of it in the universe?

Come on Matt throw us a damn bone here.
