Do you need Steam to play it in singleplayer?

No, not if you buy it on disc.

Im at the same point myself, trying to get the gems for the big spider. Im starting to struggle for space in my inventory now though, have picked up a lot of ehanced weapons, some of which i cant use until I get my strength or endurance up a bit but I dont want to drop them

Loving it so far, apart from the odd bug, like it auto saving while I has plumeting to my death down a tall spiral stair case, its been running fine.

I hope your right, cuz I don't want to buy it and it says I need Steam, because I cannot log into Steam at all, so I'd be :mad:

From reading quite a few threads there been lots of problems with some people's hardware. Thankfully i was not one of them. Got the game and patched up to 1.01. Loaded the game and played through the first number of levels without any problems. Finally got on quite a bit (after the big worm stage) and got a level where i am on this platform that slowley lifting up towards this tower.

However mid loading there a stuttering sound and it crashess mm

.

Never had any bother until now. Reloaded last night and got the same result. Going to do a full cold boot when i get home tonight to see if makes a difference. Hope i don't have to start all over again.

Anyone that can give me some pointers would be great as i know this game is very buggy or can be at times.

Great game completed it a few weeks ago now. Stealth route is definatley the best

I didn't have any problems with bugs, it ran fine for me.

i played as a tough melee. i'll go for stealth and magic next times

Nooo, I ended up with so much strength & a powerful sword that even the orcs only needed 1 swipe. I just marched through near then end smacking everything out my way

You're right, by the end I felt too strong, there was no challenge at all. Still a fun game and I enjoyed it. Not replayed it though, not sure I can be bothered - I never replay games though, so that is nothing special for this game.

anyone tried playing this game with crossfire even when forcing afr i get worse performance than a single card :eek:

yet firing squad managed to get 90fps in there review by forcing afr highly annoying

Right the new patch is out and I did a format recently so I lost all my saved games etc. Now I cant even finnish the tutorial level without it crashing. I've tried new drivers, putting all the settings to minimum etc etc it's just balls. Big fat hairy ones.

Anyone else found the patch has made things worse?
