Dark Souls 2 - Thread

70 pages on Steam forums now of people like me & many others who use a massive Plasma or HDTV hope they fix this soon like in the next week as I am waiting for the steelbook edition which is released next friday.

Very poor QA but Sega also did this on many recent ports might be something to do with it detecting the 24Hz mode many HDTV's have for HD Video content so perhaps try overriding it somehow or disable that circuit on your HDTV if possible.

Yeah, I just did that. I tried it earlier, but enabled it only on my monitor accidentally. Working now. Amazing how much a few sharper textures can improve a game.

Anyone ordered it from game today? Did you get the pre-order bonus?

I've got it preordered from the rainforest but physical orders have been delayed and I can pick it up from game digitally from game but I want the pre-order bonuses

Guys, will I run into issues when I get home?

My PC outputs to my amp via HDMI (sound and video), from there, my amp outputs to a HDMI splitter which displays to both my monitor and plasma. So if I want to use plasma, I just turn it on and turn my monitor off.

As far as my PC is concerned, it's only outputting to my amp. From there, it knows nothing.

Using Nvidia by the way... So I intend on running a few of those 'improvements' people have posted.

Well I have a Nvidia 680 that runs to my Onkyo via HDMI sending video and sound. Then that goes to my 46" LED TV and I have no probs at all. I do not however have a splitter or any other screen involved. So I think you will be fine tbh.

I was hoping this had a first person view and not a console 3rd person one :(

Do you mean console FOV ? if so I can understand that. I bought Warhammer 40k : Space Marine which was a fixed console FOV and playing it made me feel sick.

I still have my boxed version of Dark Souls lying around which I've never completed because I truly sucked at it :p , will I need to finish it before launching into this one? anyone ?

Ahh na that is the exit to that path, cross the bridge and the path is hidden to the right. Then that will guide you to your surprise.

Can people use the 'spoiler' feature ... for spoilers.

Some of us have not played the game before/seen footage/read guides and wan't to discover things themself, which is a big part of the game. :)

Numpties :p

Must be selling well currently almost 54000 in game on Steam thats £2.2M alone without the retail DVD users in UK & or all the players still stuck at work
