Got an alternate to my divine iato now. +4 demon spear thing (bought from forest merchant) has v good range and in ONLINE MP RANGE is King :p

Sens Fortress is rage enducing first time round. After that it takes minutes to run through it.

I made the stupid mistake of trying the Catacombs without a divine weapon, took me flippin' ages but finally managed it and beat Pinwheel and when I went through it again with a Divine weapon it was easy. :D

A bigger mistake might have been doing all of Tomb of The Giants without the Lord Vessel.... Got to the end only to realise I needed it I couldn't go any further. FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU :D :o Getting out without the ability to warp was interesting.

i have 73k soul i want to spend on the blacksmith in Sens fortress but i only have 3 sacrifice rings.

Curiously enuff when ur summoned into someone elses world and die u dont lose souls or anything yeah? But it still smashes ur ring of sacrifice wtf :(

I never once got summoned, I'd lay down a stone and before I could I would get invaded, so I don't know.

Dark Souls is quite different to Demon's Souls in a few ways though, you will need to learn a few new things in it so don't expect to get straight back in as if it is the same as Demon's Souls. But don't worry, it don't differ too much to make it feel like a different game, you can still feel Demon's Souls in it.

The Nexus has gone by the way, much more open world... and in my opinion, a lot more difficult early on than Demon's Souls ever was for me.

I rate Demon's Souls much much higher than Dark Souls. It just felt more concentrated. There's too many cheap aspects about Dark Souls as well. The griefing and pvp is significantly worse, and the level difference limit seems non-existent. The lag is so bad you can be backstabbed from the front repeatedly. Demon's Souls were never this bad, and never needed the 5+ patches Dark Souls had to try and rebalance things and still end up failing to do.

Let's not forget the worse graphics performance and resolution too, although I'll accept that was a compromise for the open-ended world. It's not good enough though. Blighttown and other areas should never have passed QA.

Thought the graphics were better in Dark Souls apart from the framerate. Much prefer the open world format.

Anyway ive pretty much run through Sens Fortress what a relief that is! All good apart from the stupid guillotin blade traps! didnt do iron golem thought i would farm it a bit.

I thought i was being smart when trying to find a shortcut back to the rolling stone control room (so i can avoid the guillotine traps) i jumped over to the giant and dropped down the hole when he wasnt looking but the bugger then stops dropping stones wtf why? I didnt kill im! I have still to mess about with the stone controls to smash a few walls down then thats it onto the boss. I did put my soul sign down at the boss if anyone needed help but nobody on. I'll leave it till tomorrow!
 
Played for just over an hour last night! The beginning seems a bit easier that demon souls. Ive gone for a pyromancer not that it really matters later on! I died a few times making silly mistakes trying to rush but got the grasp now! I didnt want to stop but had to get some sleep! :)

The first boss is Maneater 2.0 ;)
The normal monsters are easier this time round but the bosses are way harder and merciless with some exceptions (like gaping dragon)
 
Got passed the taurus boss on the bridge, wasnt too badn but then got to a dragon and went down the stair case on the right and kept dying there! But ive just found out theres a shortcut if i go across the bridge where the dragon is or something so i can rest at the bonfire from before
 
Right got back into this again recently.

Done Anor Londo and got Ornsteins spear :D Also done Painted world got everything in there as v good player helped me out big time there :) (especially with the skeleton wheels in the sewer bit!)

So got the Lords Vessel so i can warp between bonfires but it seems bugged because its only some bonfires you can warp to.... and ive kindled loads of em ep.

Where to next? I joined the darkmoon clan and thought i would do some invading in the Tomb of the giants. (done catacombs) i also want to do tomb of giants because the gal who has miracles is down there.


Unbelievable the amount of depth there is into upgrading weapons. Whenever i coop with other folk im usually the one with the weakest damage output :/

lvl 72 need a decent weapon for a faith build

so far ive got

Occult +1 Iato
Demons Spear +4 usually use this but damage isnt great but fast attacking
Lightning uchiganato
Chaos Blade +2 meh!

new weapons are
Priscillas Dagger +2
Dragonslayer spear
White Knight Spear +3

tbh seems to me that the unique weapons are much worse than normal weapons upgraded and buffed (you cant buff unique weapons)

any tips please? :D

The Lordvessel has a few default locations however to get the others you actually have to rest at the bonfire first, however there are actually very few places you can teleport to as it's linked to the covenants, it isn't a fast travel system as such.

least i dont need to go through blighttown lol.


upgraded my lightning uchiganato to +4 (farming royal knights for titanite chunks) unfortunately getting it to +5 will be hard as you need a titanite slab - notoriously rare ...i can get one IF i kill the stray demon but what if i want to use it for one of the hundred other weapons and armour ive got lol

Then you'll have to play through several more times :p :D

I went through three times and I was nowhere near collecting all the weapons.
 
Uchi +15 with darkmoon rank 3 buff and 40 dex was my favourite build.
It would hit for over 800 and cause a massive bleed even through Havels shield :)

haha yeah. atm just joined chaos covenant. Got chaos fireball and gonna farm humanity in the tomb of giants to rank up in it :D

then off to join the dark side :cool: (darkwraiths) in the Abyss.

its a shame some of the unique armours (gold-hemmed, ornsteins, etc) cant be upgraded.

The darkmoon miracle is quite nice but if someone used that i would just dodge or avoid for 60 seconds then its useless.

btw how come fire based weapons you can go up to +10 but lightning can only go to +5 ? Wheres the lightning embers?


My weapon of choice at the moment is the Lightning Uchi +5 :D but i got the lifehunt scythe and ornsteins spear i'll use as well when i'm levelled a bit.
 
Thats because all weapons have a limit really of +15

With a fire based weapon you upgrade a normal weapon to +5 then convert it into a fire weapon then upgrade another +10 which gives it the strength of a +15 weapon.

With lightning you upgrade a normal weapon to +10 then convert it to a lightning weapon which then only allows for it to have +5 more levels, but it still levels up to +15 (in practise anyway) :)
 
i finished ng+ last night and i have to say it was one of the most rewarding games i have played this gen :)
if anyone needs a hand with certain bosses i am more then happy to help anyone in need i have started a new character and went with a thief build which i will put loads of dex and faith into.
