With 16 strength you can use both, he has the Zweihander so he might as well, its much better for cutting down bosses. The best shield you'll find until mid game is the Balder Shield, mainly because it has 66 stability without upgrades, which is 13 more than most medium shields, which is about 20% less stamina cost for blocking. Is there a way to get rid of the black borders in the game? seen some screenshots in the hi-res thread and they were gone [he probably cropped them]
 
Nevermind then worth asking :p

This 'Sif' Wolf boss dude, is really really ****ing me off, I read some guides and watched on youtube and their all like 'move forward' or roll in or out of his 360 sword spin after blocking the first hit and I've tried and my dude just stands there like stunned after the first hit so how the hell am I supposed to do this?

His 360 is a bitch, just don't get caught in it. Just stay well away from him, when he's not spamming that he's relatively easy. He is the only boss that I felt sad for killing too :( He's so cool :(

Yeah sif is my fav I would say, he does look cool. Just like the Ninja Blade bosses, HUGE. Got to love HUGE bosses.
 
Yea I agree, he's probably the best boss I've seen so far.. but to be fair the guy who did the monsters/bosses etc in this game is amazing, just the aesthetics of them and their entrances
 
Gave up for tonight, going to be stuck on him for at least a week at this rate, furthest I got him was just under 1/2 way and 1/2 way in stone armor, any other armor I haven't even got him that far :mad:
 
I love that shield, it has an attack instead of a parry when held in the left hand that takes quite abit of poise to not get stunned by, great for combo breaking in pvp against large weapons. :D
