Dashboard Update Today?

So part from the updates to some games, anyone know what new features, fixes or enhancements are to the dashboard?

If i remember correctly its suppose to have some sort of webcam ability, a possilbe thing where it doesnt autoload games. Anyone else find that annoying? Also i think they are allowing you to download something and leave the menu so u dont have to sit and stare at a demo download for 30mins.

Autoplay is annoying, loaded geometry wars and put the pgr3 disc in thinking, oh it won't load im playing something, how wrong I was.

Remember the good old days where the dashboards in consoles didn't need ugrading and games didn't need patching.

The 360.... welcome to the age of lazy programming.
:)

Or the age where we don't have to live with errors or mistakes for years.

Hopefully a more functional DVD player.

The controller doesn't work as a very good remote, unlike the ps2.

The Xbox360 remote, in my opinion, is one of the best remote controls I have ever used. I love it.

would be nice if they add more games to the backward capatability list also
Agree with that - I bought 'Oddworld - Strangers Wrath' on the weekend without checking the list, and found out much to my dismay that it won't play on the 360. :(

I mean the actual controller as a remote.

The PS2 remote itself aint too pretty but the pad works really well, using the shoulder buttons to skip and fast forward etc..

One thing I'd love to see (can NOT understand why it wasn't thought of) was the ability to use the full media remote to enter text like on a mobile phone. Would save the need of having a keyboard attached or the slow process of using the controller.

Hey, maybe I'll patent my idea to MS :D

Will i be able to do the BIOS update with a blank CD? or do you either have to connect to live or buy a magazine?
You just need to be connected to Live, it'll auto update as you boot up the 360.

For example...
That DOA4 bug that can overwrite your save if the game loads faster than your profile. Something that simple and obvious should never have been sent out in a final product and probably wouldn't have if the company knew they only had one shot at releasing something.

Has all the hallmarks of a multithreading issue. I suspect similiar issues will crop up in future games (obviously not this exact one since they'll be watching for it) for a while.

Looking forward to the update :)
